The church offers a slew of different ministries, many of which I have partaken in over the past 13 or so years. It has been many of these ministries that I am grateful to have been able to experience. From what I can tell, there are not many churches that are able to offer what they offer, and that's not only an amazing feat but also a great service to the community. Some of the ministries that I've been able to participate in have included small groups (marriage mainly), special events (such as Israel Awareness Day), performance ministries (namely the Passion production each Easter and their Christmas productions), to name a few. Faith Bible Chapel has been a staple in the West Arvada area for many decades now, and in the past year or so there have been some changes that have taken place. Which is partly for the reason for this updated review. Namely, the senior pastor position, going from George Morrison to Jason King. Pastor Morrison helmed the role for over thirty years and my wife's family has been positively affected by his leadership since the early 1990's. His personal story of redemption is very powerful and I am fortunate enough to have heard his story before he stepped down. If anything, under the leadership of Pastor Jason the church's efforts has been focused. From what I can tell, many of what was offered before is still in effect just there's been a re-emphasis placed on what they do as a church, and one of the items that appears to be getting a big boost is the building up of small groups. This is just one thing I've noticed as of late. I've also recently listened to a sermon series on Relationships by Pastor Jason, as recommended by my mother-in-law. In it were some hard truths that people of the Christian Faith should hear. We (as a world) have gracious been offered God's grace, but with it there is His truth as well. Together, though, those two things are very powerful (Grace & Truth), which we as followers need to hear from time to time. I may have my home church elsewhere, but I am glad to call this place a second home. I know there are a handful of items that I am missing, but I would recommend people giving the church a try. It can be easy to get lost in a church this size, but with some intentionality it is almost just as easy to find a small group to build community with. read more

Faith needs to respect its neighbors. Loud, bass coming from your facility at all hours without regard for neighbors is terrible. I work 50+ hours a week and hate coming home only to have your music playing on and on. Bass thumping constantly. The parking lot speakers are left on repeatedly. Jason is a great teacher who I have applauded and respected over the years. But I also attend in order to connect with the Presence of God through worship. For a long time, that worship was never interrupted and we enjoyed the movement of the Holy Spirit through worship. Now, as some unhealthy churches tend to do, Jason and team are nagging the congregation for money every single week right in the middle of the flow of the Spirit in worship. He can't even wait until worship is done! Healthy churches teach on tithing a few times a year, while unhealthy churches constantly nag the congregation for money. To make matters worse, while healthy churches put the details of their finances right on their website, Jason hides that information (he has been asked to post this before). How much money goes into which buckets of finance????? Who knows???? Because of this, I don't trust him, even though I respect his teaching and will never tithe to this church. Any pastor who has to interrupt the flow of the Sprit of God to nag people about money every single week is a red flag, in my humble opinion. Hoping this will stop. read more

We're just moving into year 21 of our membership at Faith Bible Chapel. We are so blessed by the pastoral staff, worship team, facilities, and all the fellow worshippers each week. So many ministries within the church that we've been blessed to be involved in over the years. Pastor Jason King's teachings on Relationships has been a great Avenue into 2020. My only question: Why are you always talking directly to me Pastor? Thank you for your heart for our body of believers. We love our church family at Faith Bible Chapel. We've been a part of this community for a little more than a year and it has become our family. God is clearly at work here. One of my favorite unique qualities about Faith is that it is intergenerational - what a gift it is to learn from those who are older and wiser than you as someone who is in my mid thirties! I learn so much from the wisdom and prayer lives of those in this church body! Advice to newcomers looking for a community: Don't wait for it to happen to you. Get involved and join a ministry, attend an event, be a regular, serve somewhere, get invested. Be proactive and be patient! It will happen for you, but start be being the kind of friend you would want. This approach has helped us plug in and truly make this place home for us. read more
