After taking our new to us pontoon boat to another mechanic in fort mojave that could not fix the fuel line system after several attempts, we decided to take our boat to Fallon. It took a little while, but they found a defect from the original manufacturer in the fuel system along with cleaning out the system, He fixed it and lake tested it. We just picked up and tested it on the river for several hours and it runs great. They really know what their doing at Fallon Marine. They also said the fuel pump and labor is guaranteed for 1 year. I have a troublesome boat - a Seadoo boat with a mercruiser engine. So we are already used to being told "no" at service places. Seadoo won't touch it, and Mercruiser specialty shops won't touch it. But, at Fallon, the lady was absolutely rude about it. Not sure how SeaDoo pissed off so many places with this hybrid beast of a boat. Fallon did manage to recommend Lakeland, who was able to work on it, but thought the lady at Fallon was going to call the cops on us when we pulled in her driveway... This place is AMAZING! It would be a long story about how they helped me out; so I will just skip to the highlights. 1) They got me an appointment within days (when everyone else was giving me months). 2) Diagnosed the problem within minutes of my arrival. I had a blown power head on my 2016 Mercury 250 Opti 3) Karina worked with Mercury Marine to find my parts and they were air shipped (between Thanksgiving and Christmas). 4) The engine arrived on a Thursday at 3:30 and Gil had it installed and running again by Thursday at 6:00. He worked overtime to met a commitment. He is good, honest, and the owner. 5)The entire staff was friendly, professional and had a sense of urgency to get me back on the water. They understand the needs of a tournament bass fisherman. I drove 535 miles from the California Bay Area to Lake Havasu for this great service and I would do it again. They are that GREAT. Fallon Marine had our boat for a year to complete work that took 1 week. They kept putting us off and lying to us about what they were doing. They also lied to us about where our boat was. We were told it was at the fiberglass shop and it was not. In the end my husband had to check on a daily basis to push to get it done. Even then it was not done like we wanted. There were constant lies and deflection about what was being done. I will never go back and would never recommend this shop to anyone. One review mentioned shuck and jive. That's exactly right. In Lake Havasu and boat just shut off as soon as I launched it! Pulled it out of the water and called around. Fallon Marine said they could look at it. We towed it down and they fixed it in a few hours and got us back on the water! They saved our trip. Best thing is they only charged me $240 when they could have tried to gouge me. Since then my buddies boat broke down on water and he took it there and got same great service and my boat stopped again and I brought it down right away. They are always so nice! Let me start by saying the first time I went to this shop was when I was looking for a part and they gave me good advice. Then I decided to put a new motor on my boat because the one I had was pushing 25 years. With that said after I put down the cash, making good on promises stopped. I purchased a new motor gave them 9k up front they gave me a date 6 weeks out and the only thing they did in that six weeks was pick up my boat from the storage facility the day they said it would be done. The excuses were long and drawn out. I was angered at the fact that the results where fare less than promised and so the next thing they tried to tell me was that they where a premier shop and that's why they have the law enforcement contract. So rather than hire someone to help with the workload they just make excuses as to why they can't make good on their promises. Any of use that have been in business know that when they loose that contract they will be standing curbside asking for loose change. . None the less my boat was not all correct when I got it back but I decided to cut my losses and fix it myself. I waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was fixable before I totally cut my ties. The older gentleman that works there is a nice guy and dose not deserve any of the bad press. It's really the lady and her husband that don't do the customers justice and maybe it's not him and it's really probable just her being that she is the one making the schedule and empty promises. Where to start - the service is horrible and the results are even worse. After waiting 8 weeks for our boat and thousands of dollars later, we set out for the lake all the kids and ice chest packed. We got out on the water and 20 mins later the damn thing stopped working. We luckily had someone come by and offered to tow us in. I was in dire need of an ignition coil for a Mercury outboard motor since my boat suddenly started to misfire. Fallon Marine was the only place that had multiple coils in stock for same day pick up. 3 hour repair took them 4 months and thousands of dollars. The day I got it back I took it out on the lake and had to be towed because it had a major gas leak. This company is unprofessional to say the least and put me and my family in danger. If I could give less stars I would. Absolutley the worst shop to deal with. If you want to get burned this is the place for you! I've been boating and dealing with boat shops for 20 years and this place is by far the worst. Way overcharged for parts, the parts were ordered last minute after weeks of having the boat so they charge me for shipping on the parts, Nothing is done on time. When you call to see wtf is going on you get shuck and jive excuse after excuse. This was a 4hr labor job. They had my boat for a month, left it sitting out in the havasu sun and dirt the whole time. I Made an appointment and dropped it off on a Friday, it was supposed to be done the following Thursday I was told. The boat wasn't finished for a whole month and I do not believe they even did what I paid for. I pick up the boat and they tell me I need to pay $500 more than the estimate with no phone call until the job was done and told to pick up. I Took the boat out and the boat immediately was overheating. I also paid them for a complete boat check and had they actually checked the boat they would know this. read more
