The staff has been caring and attentive, and create age-appropriate lessons for our child. The facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained. We love their learning curriculum and the well balanced meals provided. They use a mobile app that provides easy communication with staff, a daily activity schedule, and the much anticipated pictures we can share with our family. Our son feels right at home and looks forward to seeing his friends, teachers and staff. I appreciate the dedication of the staff in providing a safe and nurturing space for kids. Highly recommend!

When he was 2, however, everything went sour. His particular flavor of AuDHD became more and more apparent, and it became increasingly clear that Glendale Heights possibly couldn't meet his needs anymore. Which is reasonable! So, after a number of days of bypassing their own "three strikes" policies and forcing us to pick him up early after a single minor incident (still charging us the full rate, mind you), they unceremoniously kicked him out without warning us that we were anywhere close to that possibly happening. Which, ok, I get from their perspective and communication could have been better - BUT. The reason this is a 1-star review and I won't recommend Glendale Heights to any other parents? Is because, for that last week that he was allowed to attend, it seems that he was told that he was being kicked out and it was _his_ fault, and not Glendale Heights' inability to accommodate his needs. For weeks, we had a 2-year-old constantly melting down every time he realized he did something wrong and _physically beating himself up_ for it. Who blames a 2-year-old like that? Who tells a 2-year-old they're a bad kid? We will forever regret sending our child to Glendale Heights.

My concerns were totally unfounded.  Lutheran Special Schools Services at ORLS have exceeded my expectations.  My child is currently enrolled in fifth grade at ORLS. I am ECSTATIC to report that my child has gone from reading and writing at the first grade level in the public school to fourth grade level within one school year.  Also, his faith has exploded which is important to me.  Three more reasons I would recommend this learning institution:  The class sizes are small with very low student to teacher ratios.  They maintain a strict adherence to their anti-bullying policies.  Extremely open lines of communication between Administration/Faculty and families.  I cannot recommend this school highly enough!

My…read morethree older children, who attended AMS between 2017 and 2022, all with different learning abilities and skillsets were extremely prepared for Elmbrook Schools. The education, social, and emotional skills they all gained at AMS has propelled their learning and abilities and we are still reaping the benefits of AMS today. Our youngest, who is currently attending AMS full time, including their full-time wrap care program, absolutely loves going to school. I love the personal photos and updates from everyone at the school; the level of personal care and concern for all of my children while in the hands of the AMS staff is absolutely unmatched.
