Couldn't be happier with Falls River Music! Their summer camp was amazing, and all their instructors are fantastic.

Steve is the best guitar instructor I have ever seen... He's just been great for my son to work with. Glad we found him.

After that first year, I thought it was up to me to really practice all of the things I was taught by Steve.

1. They make it sound like they have 2 locations- 2 schools pretty much, but after my experience…read moreI'd be surprised if they had one school. By school I mean mean a building with multiple rooms for lessons and a waiting room. I just tried to go to my free trial lesson at the Glenwood location. I got lost and received no help finding it. Will elaborate further in review. 2. They should have a receptionist that knows information about both locations or have a different phone number for a different location- which they can't do probably because the Glenwood location is actually just a room in a dentist office. Honestly though having a phone number go to someone who can't answer basic questions like "can I park here?" Is useless. Or at least have a receptionist that actually feels bad for not being able to help or gets someone that can help.. as opposed to clueless and rude. That combo really sucks. I would not recommend this experience to anyone! Maybe the Durant rd location is different but I would not give them another chance as all I got was lost, gas wasted (which means money wasted), and ticked off by a clueless rude receptionist. I guess one employee does make a big impact!

We love Laura! She is so good with my daughter! She really makes her feel capable and confident…read more She even wrote her an inspirational card for no reason at all except to bring a smile to her face. When my daughter found a piece of music that she was interested in learning, Laura asked her to bring it in so they could work on it together. My daughter has learned a great deal since she started taking lessons a month ago, and her confidence is growing. Thanks, Laura!

Been taking guitar lessons here for a while. My instructor is the owner, Paul Warren. So…read moreobviously I have good things to say about him. But the other instructors on a multitude of instruments including guitar, bass, banjo, drums, piano, voice, fiddle, and others are beyond top notch. The price is the average for any instrument lesson business in the area, currently $95 a month, which gets you 4 thirty minute sessions a month. Here is what I really think makes RMA stand out above the others in the area. If you have a young child wanting to learn guitar, the primary youth instructor is Mary Ann. Her students never fail to amaze me with the skills they have at such a young age, and how fast they progress and improve. For the adults wanting to learn, you can put all of the instructors names in a hat and pull one out and you will not be disappointed in the expertise and quality of instruction you get. And to further separate the RMA from others in the area, each month there is a student show for those students who want to play live and show what they have learned and gain the experience of performing live in front of a crowd. And if you want some icing on the cake that you truly can not find at any other local place, the RMA regularly brings in musical legends such as Jennifer Battan, Doyle Dykes, John Pettrucci, Greg Howe, Vinnie Moore, Bumblefoot, Paul Gilbert, and Andy Wood. Read those names again and find me another musical instrument lesson business in the area that brings such people in and provide their students an opportunity to learn from them and watch them perform. You can't do it.

The Raleigh Music Academy is a well established business that provides music lessons, clinics,…read moreperformances, and workshops. The staff is the most professional and talented in town, and the opportunities to enhance your music skills are great. I think they are the only school in town that has a student show or recital every single month. You can usually play for friends and family without going on a waiting list - usually whenever you are ready. You can play with other students (like a band), alone, or just with your instructor. The shows are popular so get there early for a good seat!
