Our project involved building a new patio roof with shingles matching the rest of the house, installing 2 ceiling fans, recessed lights (that was Joe's awesome idea!!) and painting not only the new structure, but they also painted the patio door and repaired our chimney's hardy boards and painted that too! The electrical work was more involved than it sounds, but they made it look easy. The work crew was fantastic. They worked very quickly, were super friendly and answered any questions I had. They swept work dust/debris off the patio at the end of their day, every time!! We didn't have to worry about our dog stepping on a nail or something. The quality of their work is excellent, there were no errors. Joe is a great guy! He was quick in returning my messages, explained everything in detail, and followed our vision while throwing in his own excellent ideas. We were so excited with his idea for the recessed lighting. These lights have 4 different color white temps to choose from, which will be really convenient. He provided our LOA with all the plan details, so detailed that were approved to begin work immediately. And the fans and lighting are all wi-fi, so in addition to the remotes and wall switches, you can control every feature right from your devices by downloading a free, easy to use app which works for both IOS and Android. Quote Process: The team scheduled quickly at a time that was convenient for us. They asked detailed questions, listened to our feedback and presented good ideas on design. One thing I really respected was that they asked we have all materials ready before starting - a boundary/guideline like this told me they were experienced and knew it would be better for both parties if they didn't start until preparation was complete. The quote was detailed, and they immediately entertained any change requests we had as we finalized design. Their price was mid-range among the quotes we got, but their professionalism won them the bid. Project: Each contractor and sub-contractor were respectful of our property, detail-oriented and left high quality results. They made a point to keep their workspaces clean and always checked with us when they encountered anything that was outside of the quote. They always put construction paper down on high-traffic areas and replaced it when looked frayed. They even went out of their way to find an oil-based paint that had been discontinued just to ensure the new bathroom trim matched the original finish from years prior. Work quality from demo to tile to appliance install was excellent. Guarantee: They guarantee the project for a year and they really mean it. The gas range they installed stopped firing correctly a couple weeks after the project and when I reached out for a fix, they had a plumber out to the property within an hour. Really big…read more Removing walls, new kitchen, paint, redo floors, etc. We basically did everything you can think of doing. From the beginning we had a good feeling about Rolando and Alex. The only concern was that, although the guys had numerous years of experience, the company was still new. That did honestly did not matter because you could see the experience in the work they did. There are so many small things they did which didn't ask for or even think of. For example, installed smart lights everywhere, replace the floor trims, paint the closets, etc. There were some unforeseen challenges which is expected given the scope of the project. However, the team handled these challenges very effectively and professionally. There is no doubt that I will hire Glowing Home again. Zero doubt. A big remodeling project can be very stressful, but these guys reduced that stress to an absolute minimum. I can go on in the way they surprised me time and time again, but you get the picture.
