Disorganized and short on an array of products, this place just doesn't cut it when you are in a bind. You might as well and stop at the drug store across the street, at least you might be able to actually find what you need. The staff were nice enough to show me where to go for the item I was looking for, but also they looked a little annoyed I had to ask. Especially when they point out what I wanted was on a sign, in small print, hanging at the opposite end of the aisle, in a dimly lit area of the store. Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of DG, so as far as I'm concerned, this served it's purpose.

This place is odd to say the least...but not odd in a bad way. If it's possible to have a cubicle design set up for shopping, that's what I would call this. It takes time to view the merchandise in here, so don't expect to come in and make a quick five minute stop to find what you want. Antiques to collectibles, books to guitars, furniture to picture frames. Each 'cubicle' is ran (owned?) by a different merchant. Tags identify which 'cubicle' you have picked up your item from. Not every 'cubicle' is of flea market type design. There are some businesses in here. A framing business, guitar business and I believe a salon all take up shop in here. (There once was a restaurant type deal set up in there too). Come and see what you probably wouldn't expect to be in a building. It's quite interesting and can be quite time consuming. It is clean, I'm not saying that most thrift stores are not clean, but the way that this is set up it gives off a pristine appearance. Now, just to make things clear, yes, they are a thrift store. However they only deal with home furnishings and home decor. If you are just looking for a bargain, this may not be your place to go. The way it is set up you actually feel like you are in a run of the mill furniture store. It is rather large inside and you might find something you didn't expect in here. Merchandise changes frequently, so coming back may be a different experience. Customer service is top notch here and basically cuts out the guess work. I had a question on whether they had an item or not and with the answer I got it saved me from browsing and become frustrated. Hours are a bit odd, so make sure you call ahead to see if they are open or look them up online.

Not the case here. I have actually found nicer items at other Goodwill located in the region that do not sit anywhere near a more affluent neighborhood. This one was more than disappointing to me. I didn't find a single thing that I could reuse in an appropriate way. I left here without a single item I did not need.

With the new update it appears that the space is larger and there is more merchandise to pick from including the furniture department. One of the nicest thing is that the doors at the front of the store actually work! The floors are even, the walls look clean and I really can't find a fault to this place that the company could be blamed for. With that being said, the only thing that is holding this place back is the fact that with Quaker State having their kitchen share a wall with this place makes for some interesting, hungry thoughts while shopping. Sometimes the smell is a little overpowering which could make for an unpleasant experience as well. Also the noise is still a factor that comes from nest door.

Located in Brownstown section of Johnstown (off the beaten track), it's located across the street from another recently re-opened restaurant/bar - the B-29. Not a huge place inside, but cheap beer (no draft), a great jukebox, video game(s), and a nice laid back atmosphere. They have a kitchen but was told for right now it's bugers and hotdogs only. Also, was told if business is good, the place will expand from weekend hrs. only.
