My mom's remember's used to go all the time back in the 90s to like 2020. There's a guy who works there as a security guard and he was there when it opened in 1967. It's so sad, so much history, I wish somebody could/would save it.

We get here and head to their toy department and the section in general is a mess. Lots of empty shelf spaces, slopped up displays, etc. Also, of course, said items were nowhere to be seen. Also not to be seen were any employees to ask for help but eventually she tracks down someone over in electronics who calls someone, who calls someone, who calls someone who confirms that the website is wrong-no they don't have this item-it's supposedly not available in store as he claimed it was online only. So be it except we decided on our way to the hotel in York to stop at the Target there on York Crossing Drive and naturally they had it in stock. Never. Again.

My grandmother and I went over after we went to the good park city mall. The food court has been updated a bit for what was gone last time, but the McDonalds is covered up now. There is an arcade that I don't remember being there last time. Marshalls, hot topic, boscovs, h&m, and Spencer's are here still. Fye is now gone however. The bottom floor is pretty damn vacant, with the bargain bin store being the only thing of note on the far end, and honestly the top floor is too to an extent! Unless you live near the area, go to someone like park city.

Now, like most malls in suburban America, it is quickly dying. The only original anchor left is Boscov's. There are a few random stores and a gym. They turned The Bon Ton into a storage facility. I went up and down the aisles, no cart or basket, that way I would limit the amount I could purchase. I will say that the store was at least clean and organized. Even if the selection was lacking. In the end, I didn't get much, interacted with no one (self checkout), and made my way back out to my vehicle to get out of there.

Well its October 2025, and it was like a Ghost town and the food court was by far the saddest one. I think only two places were opened on a Saturday. Lots of stores are closed and the parking lot was completely free. Not much selection now in terms of things. They still have some clothing stores left, but not sparse in terms of styles. The food court is actually clean because of the low foot traffic and someone is constantly cleaning the place. They do have Tesla superchargers here so its a good place to charge and walk around. The chargers are in the corner of the lot and typically just walking to the bathroom and back and most of the charge should be done so not really much time left to wander. It was sad to see and kind of made me feel like life has moved on from my childhood.
