I mention this because I see these 1 star reviews recently and they're all bogus. I see the same regular Walmart salespeople all the time-They are all friendly and willing to help. This is a mainly retirement town, so if you don't like shopping around seniors, go someplace else-I find them to be nice polite people. Maybe these reviewers belong in a big city Walmart where you better be holding on to your wallet the whole time you're shopping with all those "wonderful" young people who look like they live on the street. Not in this Walmart. I use the auto center regularly and stroll outside while they work on my car: the bays are usually open because it's warm and I can see them working on my car efficiently and professionally the whole time-Never any problems. If you have problems with our auto department, I suggest the problem is You or your attitude. People come in from out of town and leave a bad 1 star review because of all our seniors shopping: Walmart posts the busiest times for shopping-read them, or better yet, Go someplace else. This is a Nice Walmart, with Nice people and Nice customers. Please go shop somewhere else if you don't like it, or better yet, Don't come to our Nice little town.

The employees stated this was "store policy," but when we respectfully asked to see the policy, the store manager later described it as a "preference" rather than an actual written policy. The conflicting explanations were confusing and made the situation even more frustrating. I understand and support responsible alcohol sales and compliance with age-verification laws. However, if a store is going to deny a legal purchase, customers should be given a clear, consistent explanation and be able to review the policy being enforced. The lack of transparency and inconsistent communication from management left a poor impression. I hope Walmart TRC provides better training and clearer guidance so customers are treated fairly and receive accurate information in the future.

Writing this review for Walmart Auto Center in Silver City, NM. On 7/3/19 my Lincoln Navigator was…read moredue for an oil change. I checked in at opening time and the mechanic said that it would be done in about 25 minutes. I returned in the alotted time to find out that it could not be done, due to a cross threaded oil pan drain plug installed at my last oil change, at the same Walmart; done by a mechanic that is no longer employed there. The mechanic, on 7/3/19, said he would not remove it unless a department manager was present, and the manager was gone that particular day. Due to a family emergency, the manager was gone for several days. I returned on 7/9/19 and told the mechanic, that I had been talking to, that I really needed to get my oil changed. Yet again, he told me that the manager was still not there, and needed to be present because of the drain plug issue. There was another mechanic, named Antonio, that was listening to conversation. He stepped up and said that he would do the oil change himself, because he knew that I had returned several times. He stated that he would do it without a manager present. I am giving two thumbs up to Antonio for stepping up and resolving the situation. I know that his years of experience is why he had no problem removing the drain plug and making a decision for a quick plug replacement. Thank you again Antonio for your great service! People need to realize WE paid for that renovation. Just look at all the price increases, if you can't tell, you're not paying attention. Refuse impulse buys. He provided me with a corporate number and I was on the phone with them for a long time, three times in fact. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and quite unhelpful.
