He's never rushed my appt and has always explained all my vision options to me. His office staff are just as fantastic as he is. I was unsure what lenses and what coatings to use on my lenses; Shyla & Mikayla were extremely helpful. Shyla helped me keep the expense of my new glasses down and she and Mikayla helped me choose to use my old frames instead of buying new ones which would cost me so much more. Shyla even applied a discount on my new lenses that I hadn't even asked for. This eye care practice goes far and beyond what they need to do to help out their clients. GREAT JOB DR. A local opthalmologist botched…read moremy cataract surgery, messing my eye up so badly, I needed a strong & extreme contact prescription. 5 visits to America's Best (1-1/2 hour away) yielded no help at all. I finally went to Dr. Gagnon, & in 5 minutes, she had me seeing like an eagle. I remember how shocked I was, saying, "Can you do this in a contact lens?" "That's our goal," she told me, and she did it! Since then, she has treated me for the same infection I went to the quack opthalmologist for, but Dr. Gagnon not only cleared it up more quickly but also CLEARLY EXPLAINED what the infection was & how I could avoid it, which the opthalmologist never did. Dr. Gagnon is now my go-to eye specialist, who has referred me to one of the top opthalmologists in Columbia for future cataract surgery. Not only is she an excellent optometrist, but she is one of the nicest, most professional medical providers in the area. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! And the staff in both Osage Beach and Camdenton are the friendliest I have ever seen in a medical office.

I explained I have another dentist in KC and asked them to confirm what services would be covered by insurance - that was three or four weeks before my appointment. When I got there they hadn't even recorded that I had insurance. I said (again) that I only wanted the services that would be covered by my insurance. She hadn't looked it up so she blew me off. When I went in they took bitewings and then wanted to take a pano. I mentioned AGAIN that I needed them to confirm that was covered. She said OK and did it anyway. I guess I should have refused, but I thought I might be wrong on my coverage. Dentist saw me and asked for a single tooth xray - I've never had that before and asked AGAIN it that was covered, no real response and they took it anyway. They showed me something I have known about for a long time. They then gave me an estimate for what they think I should do and it was a bit crazy since I mentioned I wasn't planning to do it. At the very beginning I had offered to pull records from my regular KC dentist and they said 'that isn't needed'. Guess what? None of that extra was covered. I was told to call when the bill came and they 'might' write it off. Just got off the phone and they did NOT write it off. Basically stating that I should have known my insurance rules and it's not their job to know that for me. Really??? So, I'm paying a bill for something I begged them to check or not do.
