I have a confession; this morning I went to another local dentist to have them look at my aching tooth, to tell me (1) what is wrong (2) how they propose to fix it and (3) what their charges amount to. I had an 11:00 am appointment and got there twenty minutes early to fill out any needed forms. I was called back to the exam room exactly 11:43 am. The front office experience was curt and of the two girls working there, the one "helping" me was obviously not enjoying her employment, to say the least. When I did get to see the dentist, (after the pano X-ray) he told me he 'need to do a root-canal and put a crown on it, about $1100-1400'. When I told him that wasn't in my budget, he said he had an opening at 4:00 pm to come back and he'd pull the tooth. Lunch was eminent I could tell...I asked if they offered 'happy-gas' and was curtly told it wasn't even an option. SECOND appointment, this time with Lake Dental at 1:00 pm. Totally 180 degrees opposite front-office experience. Girls were cheery and made me actually feel they were glad I came in this afternoon! I was 10 min early, and they gave me enough time to sit down and take off my hat...then called me back to the exam area! Dr. Chris Rapp had his assistant shoot a pano X-ray AND a detail X-ray of the tooth that was hurting. Immediately he saw that it was impacted, and ordered a prescription for an antibiotic for ten days. He said you'll be feeling much better in two, but take the whole 10-day course. Then, he spent about twenty minutes telling me what my options were, what the costs would be for each, his personal opinion of each option, and took the time to dialogue what MY needs and budget restraints were (I know, novel thought huh!?)...then offered me solutions!!! Last but not least, as I was checking out, I asked the front staff if they could advise me the total costs for doing the restorative work that Dr Chris Rapp had discussed with me, and if my Aetna Dental discount plan would apply ...and the two girls worked up the exact discounts and gave me a printed copy...and even smiled and conversed with me all the while! Totally opposite experience from front office all the way thru!!!! All that is important to a service-minded consumer like me, BUT....had I gone ahead and had Dentist #1 pull an impacted/infected tooth today, I would very well have run the risk of developing sepsis and then have even MORE medical issues to deal with!!! Here's a PEARL OF WISDOM: there's typically a reason why some businesses have been around for about 30 years and are still going strong! This is an amazing dental office with the best dental technology at the lake. Dr Connell is extremely detailed and thorough. I only trust this office to do any dental work on me. I came in for a check up and received the best care. The imaging software they use for your dental diagnosis is amazing and only this office has this service at the lake. The doctors and assistants take their time to explain everything and answer any questions you have. The staff and assistants are so kind and make you feel like family. I have met all the doctors personally and I couldn't have been more impressed. They are honest and never recommend procedures that don't need to be done. While eating lunch today a crown came loose. Of coarse it was on a Friday! Very little time to get it reset. I was a walk-in and explained my predicament. The receptionist was very pleasant and professional. She said they had a full schedule but would see is they could work me in. After speaking with the dentist he said that it might be quite a while if I could wait. Fortunately for me it was only 30 minutes before they were able to see me. The dentist and his assistant were both awesome! I think I've finally found a local dentist I will look forward to seeing again! For me this is a big deal because if there's a phobia regarding dental procedures, I certainly have it! read more

I moved to the lake area a year ago & have been very selective while choosing a dentist. A friend of mine suggested Dr. Ramirez and Lake Dental Clinic to me so I went in for a consultation. I immediately felt at home. The building is beautiful and very inviting. The ladies at the front desk were very sweet. I met Dr. Ramirez and we discussed future appointments. I went back to get a filling & although it was a "tough one" she took her time & made sure it was completed correctly. Her assistant, Amy, is very outgoing. I've been going to Lake Dental for several years now and have always had a good experience. My dentist, Dr. Connell, is very knowledgeable, professional and always puts me at ease. I've had to have some pretty complex things done, including dental implants and crowns, which have turned out great. I've gotten many compliments from friends and family about how perfectly realistic my crowns look. (New patient) Great staff and lovely office were excellent and top-of-the-line, but that's not what set my visit apart. 1) From the receptionist to the doctor and everyone in between, they all explained everything and explained it well enough that I felt 100% "in-the-know" regarding my dental health. 2) Dr. Rapp examined and paid attention to more than just my teeth. He looked at the way I bit, the way my jaw set, etc.. Now...he may not see a need to do this with every patient, but he did with me and I've never had such a comprehensive, comfortable dental experience. Wow. read more

I had to wait quite a while to get in but during these times it's completely understandable. They took precautions to keep everyone safe. Everything was clean and I enjoyed the enthusiastic assistant who made me feel comfortable. The dentist also made me feel comfortable and didn't give me a hard time since it's been a while since I had been in. Options were discussed before any procedure and everything that was performed was explained to me. It took a while but I know its because they were being thorough. I definitely recommend. read more

once upon a time a young boy was deathly afraid of needles and dentists. He suffered throughout his youth and some adulthood with this problem. I went to see Dr Bartlett today, because one of my fillings came out a while back and I was in major pain. I really dislike going to the dentist, because I am NOT a fan of needles. I have to say, Dr Bartlett is now my all time favorite dentist out there. Not only did he have a great personality and make me feel as comfortable as he could...I did not feel a thing, not even one stick of the needle. Lake Dental Clinic is the best!! They are very personable and welcoming! My family has been patients for this clinic for a few years now and we love them. We make a bit of long drive to go to our appointments but it's so worth it and always leave satisfied. If you have kids, they are amazing with kiddos as well. My daughter broke her tooth at school. Funny thing is, we were scheduled for a check up and cleaning that day, but this required a bit more than a routine visit! We called, they got us in early, and were so caring and understanding. They explained everything to both of us, and we were able to get it all taken care of.
