Absolutely despicable behavior from a business that is supposed to offer fair and dignified access to health care. When someone comes to you in pain or at their weakest, don't use that for your own monetary gain.

As an urgent care facility, they are open 24/7. It's generally first come, first served, but given the nature of its purpose, there is a triaging process that might see some people get seen before you do. That said, I've generally had good experiences here on the whole. When my mom visited here, they only charged her about $75 for the entire visit and that included a prescription for antibiotics (which she filled at the pharmacy next door). When I've been for myself and my kids, I generally find shorter wait times in the early morning hours. However, I did go recently at 8:30 am and had to wait 2.5 hours with a feverish baby in my arms for all that time (they only had 1 doctor working until 10:00am! Not sure who came up with that staffing schedule...). As a physician myself, I would say that the quality of our evaluations have been good. On one occasion, they directed me to take my infant to the local pediatric emergency room. They called ahead and forwarded our information before we got there. This is what you should expect, but, it was nice that it actually occurred. On a different occasion, I waited quite a long time for my infant to be triaged, because the person at the reception desk failed to put his name on the waiting list. That was probably the worst experince that I've had here (we waited an hour before I questioned them and then found out the issue). Overall, if you need some medical care outside of business hours (or the GP has no appointments for the day), this is a fine place to come and get seen. There is a children's play area in the waiting area. I'd recommend bringing snacks/other toys if you're coming with children, because the wait is likely to be on the long-ish side. They will sometimes let you add your name to the waiting list and then leave and come back if it's going to be a really long wait. So, that can be an option for some. There is also a cafe nearby if you want to go grab a coffee or bite to eat while you're waiting.

I was actually recommended this practice, and in particular Dr. Heather King, by a family friend who is a doctor herself and so far I have been more than impressed. Dr. King and her fellow doctors at Balmoral Medical Centre treat each patient with care and don't try to rush people through. Though this can mean appointments often run longer than the usual 15minute time allotment, it's definitely worth it for the thorough and genuine care you receive. The downside, of course, is that if you're in a rush don't count on this practice running on time - but this is a common problem with most medical centres. Bonus: There is a brand new pharmacy that has opened up right next to the Balmoral Doctors, so you can get your prescriptions filled quickly and easily!

And that I was wasting her time, so all in all I felt like I was treated with alot of bias for my age and potentially how I was dressed (in leggings a large t shirt and a beanie- keep in mind I was sick and it was pouring with rain out side) I was basically treated like a moron who the nurse referred to as some one who walked off the street. Considering they do not know how much I earn or what job I have it would pay not to judge someone on looks and not to be so rude! Will never go back or recommend it

Whenever you make an appointment with RRMC, you may as well tack 30-50 minutes on to the end of the quoted time, because they are constantly late. Take a book (or maybe even a tent) for the waiting room; you're going to need it. That said, if you can get an appointment with Dr Phyll (I am not kidding), it's worth the wait. Being seen by Dr Phyll was one of the very best experiences with the medical profession I have ever had in my life. She is a wonderful doctor with a great presence and genuine care for her patients. Whenever I tussle with the idea of getting a new doctor, I'm reminded that she is the reason why I stay.

I'm not saying the entire practice is bad, just that I had one terrible experience which prompted me to switch my GP within hours of having left the clinic.
