I like that Helping Hands is truly a nonprofit organization because they don't sell your donated goods to the people who need them. People can come get the goods for free at helping hands. Staff were always very friendly and helpful with unloading my car. They are also very good about giving me the tax write off forms. (Salvation Army has you go to a website to get tax form and I couldn't even create an account successfully on the website. Kept getting error message.) Helping hands drop off times are Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM so the drop off window is pretty limited.

Also, on the day before the trial, the phone "briefing" was worthless. Everything Mr. Sturvidant said the judge would ask, she did not ask. He doesn't think like a judge and that's what I needed. Thank goodness, I had the presence of mind to respond in my favor (with some gentle suggestions from the judge). Hopefully, Mr. Sturdivant has performed better on his client's behalf since my case.

Every time I've gone, there's been a worker there who responds quickly and comes over to my car with a rolling cart to help collect donations. They always ask me if I need a receipt for donation purposes. It's quick and simple and I don't have to do much more than unload my trunk. I've never been behind more than one car, and usually there's no line at all. Easy, helpful spot to donate your goods or to buy new-to-you items.
