Jahnavi helped us, and it was so different from my own first time in the store. My mom had to go totally barefoot (gross) and then put on store supplied socks? Gross. Then pressure was applied for my mom to buy these store supplies socks that have been on other people's feet for $9? Gross. Then we were told that men's wide shoes and women's wide shoes are the same, but the men's wide were too wide. Jahnavi seemed to not believe this statement from my mom. I don't know why my mom wasn't fitted in women's Hokas at all, there was more pressure applied for my mom to buy the exact shoes that I have, which she didn't want. Then there was pressure to upsell her on insoles when she had to have shoes special ordered. The whole thing was just weird. My mom is old. It feels like a pushy salesperson was taking advantage of her. I told my mom to go in the evenings when the nice, younger guys are working because they don't bully people.

When I went in to purchase the boots on Friday, a different young lady checked me out. She too was polite and helpful. When I got home and tried on the boots to show my husband, I wasn't sure if they fit right or not. (You see I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet. If a shoe/boot doesn't fit right, it's not good.) So I headed back to Famous Footwear about 2 hours later. I took the boots I had purchased with me so I could compare. When I entered the store, the cashier who had JUST checked me out as well as the one who helped me on Thursday night asked what I was doing. I shared that I wasn't sure if I bought the correct size and needed to compare with a different size boot. They said that they had to keep my purchased boots at the register- store policy. I said I needed them to compare sizes and my receipt was with the boots. THE CASHIER (associate #300423) THAT HAD CHECKED ME OUT JUST TWO HOURS EARLIER, TOOK MY PURCHASED BOOTS FROM ME. YES TOOK THEM RIGHT OUT OF MY HANDS! I was so taken back! I went on to try on the new size boots and walk around the store. Anyone who tries on shoes knows you need to know how two different sizes feel. So after trying to GUESS if I needed a different size by how the new ones felt, I finally went up to the desk where MY BOOTS (I had already paid for them) were and took one to compare with. After 5 minutes of walking around with two sizes on, I decided the ones I bought were probably the right ones. I then went and got my other boot. I walked around with them on and decided I would not be exchanging the boots for a new size. I then took my boots and my receipt and left. Let me clarify a few things, it was MY CHOICE to leave my boots at the register. Since only one other customer came in during the entire time, I would have thought those young ladies had plenty of time to help me, not make purchasing a new pair of boots of very negative experience. Money is tight these days folks, spend it at a business that is both helpful and deserving!!!

As soon as we ventured to the suit area I walked up to Chris for assistance. He immediately gave us the suit jacket size and gave us the run down on suits. Basically no suit is the same and each has it's on personality ( fit,style, cut). Chris was attentive and patient. Once the suit was chosen we were sent to go try it on and get measured for alterations. The alterations lady was able to accommodate with a quick turn around time for a very small fee. Once he was all fitted we had to tackle the shirt/tie situation. Chris had a shirt and tie laid out for us. The service we received at this location was excellent and I would recommend this store to anyone.
