We deal with quite a few trades for service through our business and finding someone that always does what they say they'll do almost seems impossible. Not only do Lucas and his team do this, but they go above and beyond. 2. We have used Kickstand for still images on several occasions and for video as well. Judging by the work he's done for us and everything else in his portfolio, I can't imagine anything he wouldn't be equipped to produce to the highest level. I would use the videos he made for us as national television advertisements in a heartbeat (budget permitting). 3. I didn't quite know what other word to use to describe the "art" of the photography; the "eye", the perspective. I think it would be tough but more possible to find someone with professionalism and/or expertise but many orders of magnitude more difficult to find someone with all three. He took what we described and elevated it; giving us back more than we could have expected. This applies to the composition and the post processing and editing as well. Taking pictures or videos in focus with nice equipment is one thing, this is about making them amazing. That's art. You'll be thinking "I was there when these were taken but I didn't see anything this beautifully then." It's hard to even describe, you'll know what I mean when you see it for yourself. This review mainly speaks to corporate photography though we also have friends who have used Kickstand for weddings and it's just as incredible. She is kind, patient, understanding, funny, and an absolute joy to be around. OH and she's an INCREDIBLE PHOTOGRAPHER. When we first met with Jess, I could tell that she was going to bring a positive vibe to our special day. I knew she would lift me up and make me feel like my best self in our photos. After our engagement session, that was confirmed. She just makes you feel so confident and so comfortable in front of the camera. Additionally, she knows the Columbia wedding scene and gives you recommendations for other vendors. We utilized so many of her recommendations for our day. She had questionnaires for us leading up to our big day to discuss the things we wanted or didn't want. We were able to communicate any concerns or questions and felt completely supported. We did a first look at Jess's suggestion and I am SO GLAD we did. It gave us more time for couple portraits and we were still able to join our guests for part of cocktail hour. We got a timeline ahead of time, with everything organized down to the minute. During our wedding day, Jess was prompt and organized. Everything ran smoothly. As a bride, I felt so incredibly supported the entire time. Anything I needed, even if it wasn't photo related, Jess was ready and willing to help me figure it out or find someone to. I got every shot I wanted and more. Our previews came in the following week and I was ecstatic. We got all of our pictures in less than 4 weeks. They are everything I could have wanted and more!
