I had the best experience at Fancy Trimmins! I brought in personal items to get embroidered and everyone was so lovely, quick, and a breeze to communicate with! The shop is adorable, has a wide selection of items ranging from baby and wedding keepsakes to everyday goods. The embroidery work is top notch and I plan to have more items brought in to be embroidered! I visited Fancy Trimmings LLC in Summerville this evening hoping to get an instrument case embroidered as a back to school gift for my younger sister's violin. (The case was a soft instrument case that zipped along the side) The case had a large pocket/flap on the front of it and I'd hoped to get that area embroidered with her initials. I asked the girl at the counter if they could embroider the front of the case and the girl went to the back to ask someone else...came back in 15-20 seconds and said one word "NO." I asked if she was saying no that they couldn't do it or that it simply couldn't be done? She told me the case wouldn't fit into the machine that they utilize evenly and that it would cause the embroidery to be uneven. I showed her the zipper area that folded down which she clearly didn't notice or bother to look at before and she looked at it and then looked towards the rear of the store as if she were afraid to go back and ask the person in charge to take another look at what I wanted to have done. I'm not giving Fancy Trimmings one star because they said they couldn't do the work, I'm giving them one star because they were so rude and short when speaking with me, they were not pleasant and didn't seem to care what I wanted or needed in the least. The customer service was lacking. Also, I noticed a sign at the register that said "No Refunds or Exchanges." This appears to be a small business however anyone who lacks customer service and based upon the signage doesn't stand behind their work, is not a small business that I'd want to support. I gave this place a chance after reading a bad review about them on another website but clearly that review which noted their lack of customer service and refusal to make adjustments to a baby shower gift that didn't meet the customers requests was probably accurate after all. read more

I had a wonderful first experience at fancy trimmings. I took my book bag in to be monogrammed and was told that it would be done in a week but it was finished the next day! My book bag looks amazing! FT also has a ton of other cute things in store and isn't expensive to have things bought out of store embroidered! i will definitely be returning! read more
