I debated posting this because I generally avoid conflict, but the way this experience unfolded deserves to be said plainly. I came to this shop for a deeply meaningful tattoo and was genuinely excited at first. That quickly turned into frustration due to repeated rescheduling, poor communication, and a lack of reliability that made the entire process unnecessarily stressful from Matt. By the time I finally came in for my color session, the appointment felt rushed and careless compared to what had been discussed beforehand. One thing that added to my discomfort was that the prep process (sanitation, shaving) felt different from my previous session, which made me feel less confident in the care and attention being given during the appointment. I left deeply disappointed because the final result looked noticeably different from the approved reference/design, especially for something that was supposed to carry so much personal meaning. What bothered me most was how my concerns were handled afterward. I reached out respectfully, explained why I was unhappy, and tried to have a reasonable conversation about possible solutions, including a partial refund. Instead of feeling heard, I felt dismissed. Hearing responses like "I'm happy with it" about concerns regarding my tattoo felt incredibly unprofessional and completely missed the point. My concerns about the rushed appointment and disappointing outcome did not seem to be taken seriously at all. I understand tattoos are art and no tattoo will be an exact copy of a drawing. I also understand artists have different perspectives. But there is a difference between artistic interpretation and delivering something that significantly departs from what was approved while dismissing a client's concerns afterward. I'm sharing this because communication, accountability, and professionalism matter just as much as the tattoo itself, and in my experience, those standards were not met. We decided on a lilac. I found Kelly on Yelp, and found she specializes in flowers. I contacted Kelly and she was extremely prompt at responding, and professional. Upon entering the shop, Kelly (the owner of Rogue) was kind and professional. She kindly asked for everyone to wear masks, as it's for everyone's safety, which i could not agree more with. Kelly's shop is full of creative art, plants and portraits which clearly show how creative she is. She was incredibly kind, professional, and knew exactly what she was doing. Being this was mom and i's first tattoo, we had a lot of questions. Kelly was never annoyed, or short with any of her answers. She could not have been more open and caring. I would recommend Kelly to everyone. She was always cautious about what we wanted, and keeping us updated throughout the process. She told us multiple times to call her email her with any questions. Overall, i found the experience very warm, clean, and comfortable. This is exactly what i wanted in my tattoo experience. I'm obsessed with my tattoo and plan to see Kelly for my future tattoos.

However it was on our Pittsburgh Coffee Passport and so my wife and I headed over. The inside of it is quite an interesting place. It has a floor made of pennies, a brick wall and an intricately decorated ceiling. I am pretty sure they are a coffee shop, tattoo parlor and art gallery all in one. So that means that there is art and t shirts hanging up all over the place. For our coffee on this day both my wife and I both ordered cappuccino. They came out with swan decorations in the foam with spoons made to look like skulls. The flavor of the coffee here was good too. My first sip was a little bitter but it quickly smoothed out the more of it that I drank and I enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Artisan is definitely a hipster place but they have some good coffee for reasonable prices.

The barista steeped the tea for me and brought out a really cool tea pot and mug for me to use. For my group, we were able to push together tables to sit near each other. There were outlets near the tables which was convenient for our laptops. The general volume was quiet as most people were doing independent work on their laptops or sketching art. It's really hipster inside based on the outside art, inside art, and clientele. I would go again if I'm in the area or need to meet a group in a quiet place bear garfield.
