Took my Daddy for a haircut He knew just who he wanted to do it The wonderful tattoo lady So I took him to Fant's Brandie treated my Daddy so special We went all the way She also gave him a shave He loved the warm towel treatment This was over two years ago My Daddy's health took a turn Now he spends his time sleeping He does wake to eat He is in hospice at a local nursing home Today, I once again cut my Daddy's hair Hard to do as he lays in bed and sleeps I unskillfully try to do like Brandie I just try as I love on him and cut his hair Today, my Daddy turned 94! Brandie was off so I let Tristan cut my hair today. let me say that it is obvious that she trained him because he did an excellent job. I only go to Fant's because they always get it right!! I agree with the field here on Yelp. Even though they're a few dollars more expensive than others nearby, it clearly didn't effect my rating, 5/5 stars. The lady is friendly and pleasant and even told me about Mr. Fant (distant cousin of Clyde) and how eclectically he had it decorated for 50 years before she was hired 9 years ago. Excellent barber shop, it was my first time here and having to get a haircut in the area and Tristen did not disappoint.

Now, this...this is what I'm talking about. This is a barber shop! I went here one time in 1996 to try out a new barber for myself, when there was turnover due to retirement at my old barber shop, and I felt like this place cut me a little too close (just for style, not for injury!) and so eventually I went back to my old shop and found a barber there I could work with. But recently, my original barber shop has undergone some dramatic changes in décor and staff and I once again decided that I might as well get out there and see if I could find another barber, maybe even another barber shop. I ended up here once again, as this place is now the closest barber shop to my house. It's on the blind side of the Drug Emporium shopping center on King's Hwy. The place is old. Has animal heads that have been trophied hanging on the wall. Old model airplanes dangling from the ceiling. A television set on some sort of sports programming. A buttload of regulars shooting the breeze. A $14 haircut that was dang near perfection that culminated not only with my favorite barber maneuver of a lather shave on the back of the neck, but a vibrating massage on the shoulders with like, an industrial-grade sander. Not bad at all. Looks like I found me a new barber shop. A real barber shop! read more

This is what a barber shop is suppose to be like! I searched for a barber who could do a flat top to military standards and FANT'S IS THE PLACE! Great service with the atmosphere of what a barber shop should be to include to pictures on the wall and the deer heads that hang on the back wall. I highly recommend this barber shop!
