I had a good experience with the doctor. The initial visit was quick and pleasant. The doctor asked questions and listened to my responses. I have called the office twice and each time I was happy with the receptionist. She was nice and informed, I didn't feel rushed or dismissed. I have only gone for an initial visit and following up with blood work but I am pleased with the doctor, his staff and the office. read more

PLEASE READ all of the 1 star reviews before CONSIDERING this doctor. If you want to deal with a robot receptionist and a rude nurse then maybe you'll like this place. I've been to this doctor twice and have to say that his methods are outdated. Nobody could give me a reason why I would need to return to this office for a follow up appointment, they only want the money and really don't care. Least professional and most combative doctor's office I've ever come across. Especially the receptionist. They repeatedly would pitch me on prescription services instead of providing me with the medical care I needed. Calling into the office was next to impossible unless you're a health insurance professional. Expect nothing but a run-around and frustration if you call into the office for a quick question. Then expect to reach out to your health insurer repeatedly to help the receptionist do her job for her! (She outright refuses to contact any insurer on behalf of patients) I've never in my life been treated so rudely, received so much push-back, and only to be answered with sales pitches instead of medical care. Receptionist is extremely rude. Doctor has a huge ego. They sent me a bill for $61 once, which I refused to pay because my insurance said my co-pay should have covered the office visit. Nothing else performed. They sent my $61 bill to a collection agency. I will never go back. read more

Dr. Farach was recommended to me when I first moved to Ormond Beach. Despite the Yelp reviews I got in to see him. The office manager was brusk, Dr. Farach was fine as was his assistant. So, I told my husband to switch over. It took 2 months to get an appt. He was late - his fault he put the time down wrong. The receptionist said the Dr. would not see him and would not set up a 2nd appt. When my husband asked to speak to the Dr., or leave a message, the receptionist refused. I called, assuming that as a patient he would talk to me or take my message - nope!! Looking for a new doctor...... read more

Same - if I could give one star for this place, I would. Good doctor, terrible front desk staff - particularly the chubby brunette who acts as the primary receptionist. I actually think something might be wrong with her. She seems overly and unnecessarily aggressive. During the half hour or so I was there, I watched her snap or say something inappropriate to every single person in the waiting room. It was terrible. So terrible, in fact, that I feel as though I have no choice but to go somewhere else. It makes me question the doctor's judgement, that he would allow someone like that to work for him. If I could give this poor excuse for a doctor a zero, I would. My story is long and I won't bore you with every small detail, but my experience went like this: I had to bring my aged, very sick father to see Dr. F. It took so much effort to get him there; he could barely walk...couldn't even hold his head up. We had an appointment and signed in upon arrival. Well after our appointment time, a rude woman opened the door and called another patient before my father. I went up to her and explained we had an appt before this other person and my father was very sick. She said she wasn't calling my father back, but this other person instead. I will say that I got angry and she and I started arguing in front of everyone in the waiting room. I have never been treated so rudely UNTIL the "doctor" came out to see what the commotion was about. After I explained about our long wait time and then to be skipped over and another patient called instead was upsetting. He told me that the "nurse" could call back whoever she wanted. Well, I lost it! He ended up kicking us out of his office and everyone in the waiting room got in on it. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. This man has no compassion for people. I told him that I guess he thought he would get more co-pays out of these younger people than he would get from my poor, dying father. read more

Cruel! The doctor gave my husband the swab test for the flu. Farach stated that my husbands nasal passages were so swollen, that he could not swab his nose. Farach then proceeded to jam the swab into my husbands nose as hard as he could. It was incredibly painful. My husband was throwing up blood with 103 degree fever that night. (He filled a bucket). The pharmacy said this could be a medication interaction and I should call the doctor right away. Farach's response was to have his nurse call and tell me to read up on flu symptoms and to never call him again. read more

My husband and I just had the worst experience with the office of Javier Farach, an internal medicine doctor in Ormond Beach, FL. We are new to the area and have insurance through the Federal Government. I made an appointment for my husband with Dr. Farach's office and told the person providing me the appt what our insurance was, but when my husband arrived, he was told that they did not take our insurance. They refused to call to verify that we were in fact covered. So my husband called me and I called the insurance company, GEHA. I was able to convince the GEHA person to have a phone conference with the doctor's office. The GEHA agent attempted to explain to this incredibly rude admin person that we were covered through Aetna Signature Administrators PPO, but this person said she really didn't have time to listen. She unceremoniously hung up the phone on me and the GEHA agent. I have never experienced such rudeness and unprofessional behavior in all of my life and I am a 65+ lady who has been to hundreds of doctors in my time. The bottom line is that we will not be returning to this office again. Dr. Farach may be a great doctor, but his staff is giving him a very poor reputation. I don't know the young woman who we talked to but if she is as rude and unprofessional with others as she was to us, she needs to be fired. read more
