I've been wanting to go get my breasts redone with Dr. Farber for 7 years now. I've been following him on Instagram for years. I finally was financially able to do my dream breast revision surgery. What a great choice! This is the happiest I've ever been, with my breasts, in my entire life. I had one failed breast surgery, at the age of 20 years old, with a seroma, because the doctor failed to offer me drains. Then, I redid my breasts, at 22 years old. I did a mini lift, with small implants, as I naturally have a lot of breast tissue, to surround the implants. I chose a good surgeon then. I had those for 15 years, but they were just too big & bothered my back. Dr. Farber explained to me, that my breasts were drooping because my implants were too small for the width of my breasts. Dr. Farber recommended to remove the old implants, to avoid the drooping, then add an internal bra & do a full lift. Today, I am over 6 months out, from my breast surgery, with Dr. Farber. I had an explant, internal bra & full lift. My breasts are so great, they look like there are still implants in there. They are small & perky, just how I wanted them. My pain has been so minimal, compared to my past 2 breast augs. My back feels great now & no more back pain!! I feel taller & have a more slender silhouette now. I had my first consult with this practice February 2024. We scheduled surgery as the first consult was great. His first opening was at the end of July. This is a long time to wait but we felt good at the time. A month before my scheduled surgery we did a consult in which Dr Farber completely changed his tune about my surgery and had a disturbing bedside manner. He said he could not do what we originally discussed, could not tell me the size he was planning to implant, told me my nipple may be detached from a lift and much more. At one point in the consult I asked the Dr to please stop grabbing me so hard. My husband and I left feeling awful but still paid the surgery in full on that day as their policy stated because we waited so long for this. This was over $20,000. Dr Farber is more expensive than any other surgeon out there. 5 days before surgery the hospital called to tell me I would be going under a anesthesia for 6 hours. Dr Farber told me 3. This made me extremely nervous and this was far different than what I was told. I then had a call with Dr Farber the next day to ask if he could perform the surgery without a lift and he said he could not. I asked what size implant I would be getting again he said he wasn't sure. I also found out he had his wife Leslie listening to the entire call without my consent. That's a legal breach to not notify me a third party was listening in Florida. I want to note that a week later I found another surgeon in the area who DID perform the breast augmentation on me without a lift, giving me the size I wanted - and had availability right away and they look fantastic! 0 issues. I was serious about this surgery but Dr Farber pulled a bait and switch in this whole process wasting over 6 months of time waiting for a surgery he couldn't actually perform..... Due to many concerns we decided to cancel surgery 4 days before. The practice keeps saying due to this we cannot get a full refund. They have kept $10,000 of our money for a surgery they didn't perform !!! They just keep saying "it's their policy" instead of addressing the issues at hand. Their policy also didn't say they can change all the rules 4 days before surgery. We are absolutely willing to pay for the 2 consultations we had - but nothing more. READ THIS REVIEW IN IT'S ENTIRETY FOR YOUR SAFETY. PICTURES ATTACHED. I had a halo lift with Dr Scott T. Farber (Farber Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, FL) in 10/2020. The one concern I had at the time was the fact that he doesn't have his own operating room. This suggests he is not financially stable to afford his own OR and by performing his surgeries in a hospital he doesn't have his own "Surgical Team", he gets what the hospital gives him... not optimal. Dr Farber operates at West Boca Medical Center and hospitals are unfavorable to the average healthy patient getting plastic surgery (like me). Hospitals are places where sick people go to get treated (full of bacteria and germs). This is the most expensive place (for surgery) for the patient and least expensive for the doctor. My concern/fear became true when a few days after surgery, I developed a mild fever. It turned out to be "Pseudomonas Bacteria" (medical bacteria found in hospitals, specially in breathing tubes, catheters, etc) which turned into a horrible infection. Pseudomonas has a mortality rate of 18-61%. Dr Farber then (in his office) without local anesthesia open up holes in some areas of the incision (very painful)...within a few days I had to be hospitalized. There I saw an infectious disease doctor and he found the right treatment for me. 3 days later I was sent home with a PIC Line and needed daily home health care (nurses) to administer my antibiotics through the pic line as well as clean and packed the wounds/holes for weeks. At this point my $15,000 surgery turned into over $40,000 in out of pocket expenses (hospitalization, visits to the infectious disease doctor, medications, home health care, wound care supplies, etc) through the whole healing process Dr Scott T. Farber told me 2 things: 1. That I should be thankful he is seeing me because other surgeons send patients like me to their primary care doctor. Keep in mind I payed the "big bucks" to him, not my primary care. 2. Not to worry about the scars b/c plastic surgeons do scar revision surgeries all the time and once I healed he (Dr Farber) will fix the scars. I kept going to Dr Farber for Botox because I believed he was going to fix my horrible looking incision. after 2 and 1/2 years of healing I brought up the scar revision procedure to Dr Farber b/c for the first time in my life I developed ugly "hypertrophic scars" which happens due to a bad injury and/or trauma. He was very condescending and rude... tried to convince me that they were beautiful scars and I should live with them, that he will not do it! Meanwhile my body looks mutilated. now I am in the process of researching board certified plastic surgeons that specialize in revision surgery. STAY AWAY FROM DR FARBER, he is always talking about being a 4th generation surgeon as if that made him better than any other surgeon. He has a very big ego and can be rude at times. BEWARE*** This doctor neglected my concerns regarding pain, redness, and swelling post breast augmentation and lift, which led me to having emergency surgery, a piccline for 2 weeks, oxygen treatments, and PTSD. Dr. Farber, completely neglected and dismissed my concerns regarding the pain I had, when in reality I had a horrible infection. If he would have listened to my concerns instead of dismissing them, this would have never have happened. It was completely avoidable. I was nervous to find someone new to give me botox and filler after moving to Boca from out of state but a coworker recommended Dr. Farber and I could not be happier. I love walking into this office. Most doctors offices you dread. Everyone in the office knows your name give you a big hello talks to you. Learns about you. Made the experience way more comfortable and felt like I could trust them entirely. Gina is amazing. I would call and I wouldn't even have to say my last name and she knew who she was talking to. She answered all of my questions never made me feel dumb for asking. She is super sweet and called and checked up on my constantly. I am very thankful for having Gina by my side. The doctor comes in with such a attitude that he something special and is so cold. Tells you every thing you need done and someone else will come in with the prices. No one goes to a plastic surgeon for a simple procedure and expect to end up in a life or death situation, in some cold hospital bed. but that's exactly what happened to me when i went to Doctor Farbers clinic, in boca . So be warned. This has to be the worst plastic surgery ever performed. I went for a simple eye lid treatment, to reduce my droopy eye lids , I was told it would be a simple procedure and I would look years younger and things would go smoothly, without any complications. I believed the doctor and his competent staff. After the procedure was performed, I felt horrible, and told the doctor and staff, I was recommended to see my normal doctor and get a blood check up . They let me go home, even though I notified them of how bad I felt. For the next couple of days my condition got worse and felt my life slipping away. I asked my wife to rush me to Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Upon seeing me the doctors admitted me in and placed me into ICU, Intensive Care Unit , were the doctors told me, I might die, from Kidney Failure, caused by the negligence of the anesthesiologists. Most doctors only give you mild sedative or local anesthesia instead I was given a general anesthesia which destroyed my kidneys and all my other organs started shutting down. I lay in intensive care for over several weeks dying , and finally the doctors opened up my chest to give me Dialisis daily and had to breath with oxygen and saying good bye to my wife and kids. They didn't tell me that part in the plastic surgeon office. Finally after weeks they brought me back to life and I went home , tired drained tons of money lost from not working , problems with my health care insurance company that, persist till now a year later. Then I was told I had to go through weekly dialysis 3 times a week . A horrible ordeal for any one to go through , but I was alive. My doctors at the hospital saved my life, but told me my kidney were only working at 25% capacity , so my normal life had to change what I ate and everything else. The insurance companies don't want to insure you with these type of issues. And the best is these doctors at the clinics never gave me a dime for this terrible ordeal . I have never been sick in my life, now my life is forever changed thanks to these wonderful doctors at this clinic . If I could give a zero I might. And I never write reviews and I especially hate having to write a bad one. I have to say the staff is all super sweet, but they truly destroyed any shell of self esteem. He did an absolutely horrendous job and he charges a fortune. NEVER GO HERE !! I'm shocked the other reviews are decent. Maybe they had different treatments. It cost me 10,000 and a terribly long recovery time to look far worse than when I first went to see him. My legs are now flabbier, and the skin is all over the place and I've seen lots of other doctors who keep asking why Dr Farber didn't take out more and or try to combine with a tightening treatment afterwards. (Anything to have me not look like this. Which is gross. And I'm young and my legs look like a fat old ladies) I wish they understood how much they have destroyed and shred of confidence I once had. Run. Run as far as you can as fast as you can. This is by far the worst medical experience of my life. I was in a terrible car accident and needed followup care for a 3 inch laceration that was on my face. He was mean, condescending, and insensitive to my pain. He literally told me that I shouldn't be in pain. Are you kidding me? I was rear-ended by a hummer at 60 mph and the force of the impact of my face on the dashboard (or windshield not sure and yes, I was wearing my seatbelt) was enough to crack open my forehead and make my eyes and nose look like I was in a fight with Mike Tyson. In fact, my left eye is still swollen shut 5 days later. This doctor is indelicate and I would NOT recommend him to ANYONE. read more
