One nice thing about the store is they carry items from nearby bakery and a nearby tea room so there are some unique offerings. The prices are about average, maybe a tad higher than other stores, but it will worth the convenience of not having to drive back to Cedar Falls. My only criticism is whenever I have used the Chester Chicken deli portion of the store, it always seems like the employees think it is a chore to wait on me. Case in point, I was there with my dad to pick up some lunch for us, my brother and nephew today. We get there and make up our minds for what we want and ring the bell for service. There are two employees in the back that see us, but make us wait another 5 to 10 minutes before coming up to wait on us. Why couldn't one of the employees come up and take our order? It was nowhere near busy. Please Brothers, make sure your employees know that when the deli counter is not busy and there are more than 1 person in the deli that no customer should ever be kept waiting. Otherwise, keep of the good work.

I'm not used to shopping fareway because the other one in Cedar Falls isn't close to where I live or by anywhere I go. But I've become a frequent shopper since this location opened. I'm able to find pretty much everything I need at this store. Yes they may not have every flavor available of items that Hy-Vee might carry but the prices are generally more affordable and you don't have to walk a football field to shop. The staff is friendly and always offer assistance when they pass by. Lots of the day time staff is genuinely eager to help their customers. I like that this locations has 2 self check lines. Makes it easier for those quick small trips.

I live in Cedarfalls but my husband fondly remembers going to the Gilbertville the locker when he was a child. We ordered the same amount of beef two years ago. What I thought was wonderful was when I called to order they brought up our previous order information and I just told her to keep it exactly the same. They text me when my order was ready. I came today on Saturday to pick it up. They're open until 3 o'clock on Saturdays. I was greeted by a gentleman when I walked in. He took care of me right away in bringing up my order information and ringing me up. There were at least three other employees there along with him. When customers walked in after me the others who are preparing meet stepped over to help those customers right away. They are obviously well-versed in customer service. For $686 I received 214 pounds of meat. I got ground beef hamburger patties steaks and roasts. It's enough to almost fully fill up my little freezer. The average price was $3.21 a pound which is really very good considering all the different cuts of meat I got. They are conveniently located in the middle of Gilbertville. It's not a fancy place by any means. But it's clean inside and they have great people. Now for at least the next year I won't have to buy any beef at the supermarket. It makes my shopping Bill smaller and the ease of preparing meals better. I will be back next time I need to refill my freezer. They also have meat that you can come in and purchase right there. They have a wide arrange of meat products from chicken pork rabbit turd all sausages pretty much anything you could want. They have smaller bundles to such as a pork bundle a grilling bundle or a chicken bundle. Last time we got the cream of the crop steak bundle. For $100 it was full of awesome steaks. I just don't have enough room in my freezer to purchase any more this time.
