This Food Basics is the grocery store I frequent the most. The prices are very good, often with…read moremany sales. Fruit and meat are usually fairly fresh. The parking lot can be a bit of a chore getting in and out of. Most of the staff members are friendly and helpful. Especially one stock person who is always cheerful and singing. One staff member today even helped an elderly slow moving with his bags to his car. The overall cleanliness of the store is good. I would say the primary reason I attend this location however is proximity to my house. An average grocery store that I would not go out of my way to attend if I were to move.

The Sobey's/IGA connection is apparent with the great quality. In these discount stores, the cashiers often leave you to bag your own groceries. Often, a few cashiers here will actually cheerfully do it for you. Floor staff is easier to find, and happier to help you than at YIG Cornwall (a higher priced 'premium' store).
