No action taken and no response to multiple emails by my agent, Lori Stamper (and not the first experience like this). After a week of non-response, I finally got a hold of Brightway so I could call the carrier directly who confirmed no action taken by Brightway to cancel. Brightway is unsympathetic to the fact that their inaction is costing their clients money. I also had to call my car insurance carrier directly to get a lower rate. If you have to call the carriers directly...what is the point of using an agency? Andrea from Customer Service is finally helping me to get the home insurance cancellation done properly and has taken time to call me back and work with the carrier, which has entailed about an hour of our time. So perhaps not "all" customer service is bad...but it shouldn't have come to this point in the first place.
