The strange thing though, is that there is another Icelands a 1 minutes car ride away. Not too clever by Icelands i dont think. This is the larger store of the two and has a far greater range than the one. The other is more interested in the fruit and veg side, but this is alot better to do your weekly shop. I have always found that the prices are great and like all Icelands, there are always some really good deals. The staffing, however, leaves alot to be desired. There is never enough checkout staff and because of this, there are always long queues. I always try to avoid it during peak times, like after 3.30 weekdays and anytime during the weekends.

The woman she said write the nomber and while I was asking her a question, she just left! She came back after few minutes and I explained to her: I was talking to you, and you left me there, so now, I am leaving and not shopping, and I am not coming back again! It also has an online order pick up point which is handy. The main problem with it though which really winds me up whenever I go there is the self-service checkouts, they have 6 which are divided into groups of 4 and 2. So you have two queues, one for each section. For some reason in this store people take absolutely ages to go through them, so there's always a huge queue, or two huge queues to be precise. Added to this that the staff seem to wander off whenever they feel like it, so once someone jams their machine they're just stood there for ages with no assistance, and meanwhile the queues get longer. One morning all four people in the section had jammed their machines and the attendant had wondered off somewhere, so we were all left standing there like idiots with nothing we could do. I don't think Tesco understands how frustrating this is, and it seems to show a real lack of respect for their customes. It's not easy to see why they have so few of the machines, the Sainsbury's at Stratford is much smaller and has around 3 times as many, sensibly with only one queue so that you don't get annoyed watching the queue next to you going faster. Every time I've been to this Tesco this has been a cause of major annoyance, so I do try to avoid the place.

It is well worth looking out for as although small, the shop is full to the brim with a wide variety of items. This is a good place to buy presents because they have a lot of unusual and nice items. They sell so much stuff it is hard to know where to start but I will try! Firstly they have a good selection of very reasonably priced jewellery - earrings, necklaces, bracelets. Every time I visit this shop I end up buying myself a pair of earrings! As well as lovely jewellery they sell candles (some gorgeous scented ones), bags, candleholders, clocks, goblets, oilburners and unusual and different ornaments. All there stock is at brilliant prices - I often think they must have made a mistake with the pricing. Oh and if you are anyone you know is into gothic you must visit.

Cadbury Chocolate originated in England in 1824. Happy almost 200 years! Thank you! Besides Birmingham, this is the biggest Cadbury store in England. It is exactly 54 miles north and east of London. It is located in an outlet mall ( Braintree Village)with a Nike store, Vans, Ted Baker, Body Shop, Top Dog and the lovely Costa coffee shop. Great variety - 62 types of chocolate bars( yes I counted December 2022 trip), brownie tins, cookies( I am sorry I meant biscuits, we are in the UK), cocoa drink mixes, gift baskets, picnic bites, drinks, shakes, seasonal beauties for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Prices are a bit higher than the supermarket. Please note only British pound sterling accepted in the UK, no Euros. I believe £1 =$1.24. FYI Hershey owns the right to manufacture Cadbury chocolates in the US. They do taste better across the pond as they have more fat and cocoa there( music to my ears as I do the " Cadbury Curly Wurly" dance). Very mellow and polite staff. The young ladies brought us a gift bag and a big basket to shop. They could see by the look on my face that I planned to purchase in bulk and pay the extra baggage fees for that overweight NY bound third suitcase. Ample free street parking. Store is open 7 days a week with the late day being Saturday till 7 pm. I would highly recommend visiting this store, the outlets and then driving another 18 miles east to the English coast where you feel that beautiful North Sea breeze as you take that gorgeous bite from the Cadbury Twirl Orange bar looking east with Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam just 177 miles away.

However, this is probably my only complaint. Organico serves decent coffee at reasonable prices in a semi-comfortable environment. Plus they dont mind the lengthy visits. My mother-in-law and I sat and chatted for a few hours. It was a very nice experience overall.

Somehow it still works though, maybe in London we're just used to crowds of people from using the tube and whatnot so you still manage to get in there and get what you need - and they do seem to have almost everything you'd find in a normal Sainsburys Local somehow neatly squashed in there. The bizarre effect it has though is that whenever I go to a different one they always feel so roomy and I feel like I'm in some kind of luxury paradise version with ample room to stroll around without bumping into people!

The only other nearby ones have the following problems:…read more * Lots of corner shops and even the big ones are far too snack heavy and lacking real food. * Lots of exotic shops that offer people to taste of home rather than real good food. * Some of the independent stores stopped selling alcohol because of all the hobo battles. A few of them might try to set you up with their daughters. * McDonald's is 24/7 but makes me fat. Has no food drinks only children's sugary drinks. Doesn't stock essential conveniences such as toilet paper. * Eating things from Iceland really hurts my teeth. It's all really cold and hard. * If I eat food from Tesco it makes my bum sore every time. They also hire very sad people who get lonely so they try to stop you from leaving. The Sainburies isn't bad with none of the above problems but as express stores go it is crammed into a really small footprint. The range of food isn't bad considering the small footprint but it's not ideal and isn't going to stock an amazing range of items. The opening times are also not the best for me. Because the store is so crammed it's a bit gloomy and depressing. The checkout area has ultra compact machines that seem often broken and the security seems a bit overbearing because of the confined space as well as the crummy area they're in. I don't know what it's like at busy hours but I can't imagine it's pleasant. If a queue forms it will immediately start to cut into the shopping area creating a kind of shop while you queue dynamic.
