While all of them look more or less the same, this big name pharmacy has made one of their many stores quite unique. Inside La Botica, you can find memorabilia from some of the fist pharmacies in Santiago. The architecture is beautiful, with tall ceilings and dark wooden fixtures you feel like you have been transported back in time. Although they sell the same things in any one of their other pharmacies, the experience when buying here is just a bit more special, more like you are buying from an individual as opposed to a large corporation. Definitely worth coming here the next time you are in downtown and need some aspirin.

So we came to this Lider…read moreExpress, which has a smallish supermarket upstairs and more services, like a pharmacy, downstairs. (We did not go downstairs.) Owing to the supermarket's very small produce section, we ended up with bread, cheese, a banana, a tomato, and a sorry-looking mango. The fresh bread was so-so, though it was definitely fresh. The ATM did not work.
