Typically I'm not a fan of anything sweet on my burger (aside from ketchup or maybe sautéed onions) but this one might've just changed that opinion forever! Their bacon jam & house made ketchup really made my day. ;) It's a messy burger (as all good ones ought to be!) I recommend giving it a try! On another note I got the sweet potato fries and they were also spectacular! They're the wavy/crimped kind and I guess it's all that extra surface area that gets them extra crispy when fried. If you usually don't order sweet potato fries or are on the fence about them I'd recommend trying silver sage's, that little extra bit of seasoned crunch just might make a believer out of you!

Silver Sage cattle are raised primarily on grass, but if you are specifically interested, they can detail exactly what the cattle are fed as they are raised. They aren't fed animal by-products, and they aren't injected with synthetic hormones or theraputic antibiotics. These guys care, and after the recent XL Foods issues, consumers are more and more starting to care more too. They do tend to sell out of popular cuts early in the day / weekend, but you can pre-reserve anything you want ahead of time. Just pop by the booth and place an order for a future weekend, or give them an email / call. We've found this very helpful, because showing up at an early hour on the weekend isn't something we are particularly good at. They are also really helpful with cooking tips and recipes! They couldn't get the volume they needed within Canada at the time. So it's possible they flip-floped on the organic bit. I'd just ask them.

It's definitely not enough for four people with an appetite and there's no way I'd spend another $10 for extra. Call me frugal but if anything, it's is a nice treat if you want to make a delicious and plentiful meal for two. We ate the Sweet Chili Lime sausage and it was flavorful enough that I didn't feel the need to use any sauce. I was told this is one of their most popular sausages and I can see why. It's not hot or salty, just tasty. Next to no grease is definitely a bonus. I look forward to slowly making my way through their extensive menu.

Took a break for lunch and decided to try the dessert waffles here. Food: I ordered the strawberry waffle and it is simply delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the waffle was fluffy. Everything was correctly portioned and balanced well. Although it was a simple dish, they sure executed it well here. I will return to try their savory dishes. Value: fairly good price for the portions you are getting. Best to share the dessert with a group, unless you are me.

Burgers, sandwiches, waffles... it's a varied menu with a little something for everyone. I ordered a mushroom burger and a vitamin water. The burger was one of the daily lunch specials and came with fries. With the vitamin water, it was all less than $10 and made fresh to order. The table numbers are rather ingenious too. To avoid a slough of people waiting around the counter, Simply Good Eats has helium balloons attached to a little post, each with a number on it. You take your seat and put the balloon on the counter. When it's ready, it's brought out to you... the floating balloon makes you easy to spot!

Thankfully, though, I got over that inital reaction and discovered just how wonderful, juicy, and tender this fantastic creation really is. Turduckens have always had to be pre-ordered at delis, or made painstakingly by hand. Well -- not anymore! The Original Turducken takes what was once a deli-exclusive gourmet meal and turns it into something accessible, and just as delicious, right from your local grocer's freezer. Available with two kinds of stuffing (Spicy Italian Sausage, which I love, and chicken apple sausage which is good too), I get my birds from the frozen food isle at CO-OP. After thawing them a few days, all I need to do is pop this turkey-looking beast into the oven, and cook it slow until the internal temperature is 165 degrees F. That's it -- no prep, no basting, no worry -- just cook it like it says to on the packaging. Then, once it's done, all I need to do is slice it like a loaf of bread and serve. Yes -- slice it like a loaf of bread. See, these birds come completely boneless (except for wings and drumsticks). So you're getting solid meat in the guise of a golden turkey. It's awesome and wonderful stuffed into tasty. And the duck and sausage stuffing keeps the entire thing so moist you don't need gravy (... but with drippings, you can make some anyway). With the last bird(s) I made for Christmas dinner, I served 12 adults to satisfaction AND I had enough leftovers for lunches days after. Plus, the dinner conversation never faltered -- everyone was talking about how neat it was to be sampling such a unique dish. It may seem pricey, but you have to remember that you don't waste any money buying bones and sinew that you'll throw away when supper's done (as with regular turkeys). If you want to try something different, I doubt you'll be sorry with this.

Everyone was talking about it days in advance and still are days after. All of my guests crowded around to watch me carve this glorious flock of birds melded together. It was easier to prep than a regular(don't tell all of my dinner guests that, though) and did not require the attention of a normal bird. Just peel off the plastic and heat until the thermometer says its good! Carving is also easier and cleaner than wrestling with a half trimmed carcass. I was prepared since I had read the reviews, but be prepared to create your gravy without much for drippings. I went to the Shawnessy location during my lunch hour to redeem my gift and buy an arrangement for a friend recovering from surgery. The attractive grey haired lady didn't greet me with a smile so perhaps she was having a bad day before I entered. Suddenly - the email which I showed her on my phone with the appropriate code to redeem the gift - was laden with rules that she seemed to make up on the spot. 1.) She input my phone number and although my name, which I had not given her, came up she told me that she had no information about me or any orders ? *so my name isn't sufficient? 2.) I hadn't ordered at her location in the past year. Email didn't mention restrictions... other than 3.) This "Offer good through your birthday month"... suddenly became, according to her, BEFORE the end of the month, and since today was May 31 - that meant that YESTERDAY; May 30 was the last day this offer would be good... so my birthday being May 31 - offer not valid? And FINALLY 4.) "Oh... it must have come from a .com website". What the??? Such a lost opportunity to offer good customer service - such as; "Happy Birthday! Oh I see this a 'dot.com' website! That doesn't really apply to us, so feel free to unsubscribe so you don't get this next year... but in the meantime - let's get you my finest chocolate dipped fruit so you can celebrate in style! We were surprised by the lack of response from the bakery--no apology, no refund, nothing to acknowledge the mistake. They put the blame on the third party vendor that made the cake but never followed up with us. It's a serious issue when dietary claims are incorrect. Customers deserve honesty and accountability, neither of which were provided here.
