When I moved my insurance policies over to R Hobbs I immediately saved approximately 30%. The savings was huge! Chris and Lynn at R Hobbs are wonderful people and easy to work with. Very professional!! The difference is their agency is a brokerage and they can shop around insurance policies across many insurance companies to try and get their clients not only the best insurance coverage but also a better price than the captive agents. I should have moved my insurance to R Hobbs long before I did and I would have saved even more. I highly recommend R Hobbs Insurance.

My company enrolled in a 401k through this company. They were completely hands-off through the…read morewhole process even though no one in our company knew what steps to take or what needed to be done. Specifically Peter Gottstein ignored office admin's email trying to resolve issues. Then when I left the company and he was still listed as financial adviser on my 401k I contacted him to find out what my options were with my 401k. It took 3 emails to finally get a response. He briefly listed off my options- one of which was to withdraw the money and pay tax and a 10% penalty on it. SO I did that because I didn't have another 401k to roll it over into and didn't care to open one. He immediately pawned my requests off to his assistant who knew nothing about our 401k plan, nor had access to it. Turned out I took a 75% penalty plus taxes! He didn't mention the vested interest hitch I would incur if I withdrew the funds. That would have been nice to know! He's a prick. THis company is BS. DOn't bother if you care about your money.

Be aware that Tom Flowers is an insurance salesman motivated by commission sales, not a financial…read moreplanner or a fiduciary as he represented himself to us to be. Therefore, there is a conflict of interest in that his interest is earning the highest commissions regardless of whether the product he is selling the customer is best for them. We were "sold" complex annuities that were not at all in our best interest, costing us tens of thousands of dollars. Also be aware that there is a high fee (minimum 1.5%) for assets under management for relatively poor performance, high expense ration funds and no tax guidance. That fee was misrepresented to us as well. We were advised brokerage firms like Vanguard had a variety of "hidden fees" yet refused to detail what those "hidden fees" actually were. We were also "guaranteed" the fee for tax preparation would be $79 per year provided we were customers of the firm, yet that also was a misrepresentation. After it became apparent we were not "buying" the bs anymore, we never heard from them again. Don't let the "treating you like family" allow you to drop your guard and trust them because they are not at all trustworthy.
