Like a government employee (a bad one), state farm is there…read more TLDR: I have never had so many issues with an insurance company in my life (Despite not making a single claim!). They are completely incompetent and every year they screw up something with my insurance. As of today, I have been given the run around for OVER two months trying to figure out why they switched my insurance price on me AFTER I paid, despite nothing changing on my end. When I recently contacted state farm saying that "Nobody got back to me" the literal response I got was "I believe someone did". HOW ABSURD to have a customer saying nobody got ahold of them and instead of taking it at face value, to instead argue that somebody had. NO! NOBODY DID. Not by message, not by voicemail, nor email (I even checked all the junk emails). Beyond horrible service. Even if you HAD attempted (and failed) to get ahold of me you should be HELPING ME with the insurance you screwed up vs arguing with me. The long version: I'll start with the most recent issue: 5 months ago state farm sent me a "has anything changed" email. I responded (absolutely nothing had changed). 2 months ago state farm sends me a notice that they are cancelling my insurance because I never responded. That's right: they did not contact me and say "we didn't get a response from you", just a "your policy is not being renewed". I then contacted statefarm and copied the PROOF that I had responded months ago. They responded by telling me I would get a renewal letter in the mail. Instead I got a second cancellation letter and an insurance hike for a SEPERATE insurance policy I have with them for the year I ALREADY paid, not the upcoming one. Note: I did later get a renewal letter. They had DOUBLED the price from the previous year despite nothing having changed on my end. So I will not be renewing this policy. Now I have emailed them another two times, as well as messaged them using their online messaging system and have recieved ZERO information on why they are increasing my other insurance policy for the previous year. How they can go back and change my policy after I have already paid for it when nothing changed is completely beyond me. The response I got from Maureen was "someone else will get back to you about this". When nobody did for three weeks, I used their online message system. When nobody responded to that after a week I contacted Maureen again and told her that nobody got a hold of me. She literally responded with "I believe somebody did". No help, no getting me the info. The level of incompetence here is insane. I wish I could say this is a one off issue, but I have had problems ever since getting insurance through J Lindeen Brown at state farm: They screwed up the original quote - either it imported from online incorrectly or they made changes without telling me, later the park class of the house was changed which increased my premium and they claimed that it was due to the age of the house. . . which was disclosed right from the beginning, I got a cancelation notice due to them not having documentation on my porch (they never contacted me requesting it) which resulted in me not having insurance for 3 months (I got them all the info they needed BEFORE my insurance expired but it still took them 3 months. . .), there was also a minor billing issue I won't go into. Any other insurance is better. I have had many many insurance policies in my life and most of them from cheap insurance companies vs one that brands itself for having good customer service. ALL WERE BETTER THAN STATE FARM. It's not even close. If you do for some reason want to go with state farm, definately don't use J Lindeen Brown of Sutherlin OR.
