We got there and it was rather smaller than what we were expecting. Parking was accessible and easy to find parking. There are few vendors that sold your typical vegetables and fruits, a few food vendors, and handmade items. The food vendors available were a seafood & oyster joint, pupusas, fruit drinks, hummus, tamales, and breads. My boyfriend and I tried the oyster and a spicy handroll (we got salmon) for the oyster and seafood place. The oysters were nice and fresh. The guy even shuck it right in front of us. But in our opinion we too big. The oyster was big so when you slurp the oyster it's too much of a chew for me. And I understand the spicy salmon was premade. I don't really care for spicy but I thought I'd give it a try. It was too spicy for us. Too much sriracha for a spicy handroll roll. Before eating the spicy hand roll, I decided to get a drink because I already know the handroll was gonna be too spicy, so I bought a mango drink from one of the vendors. She had a great selection of fruit drinks. I got the mango. It was very light and refreshing. And very mango forward. Good thing I got a drink cos it definitely helped with the spicyness. Overall, this is a good place to check out.

My current favorite here is Solis Bagels, which is a pop-up bagelry with what I consider to be the best bagels in Long Beach. They have really good bagels and schmears, but what brings them over the top are their farm-fresh ingredients. The nice subtle touches are the sprinkling of salt, a light pour of olive oil, and a squeeze of citrus. It, for good reason, has the longest line in the market. There are other food vendors here like Colossus bakery that are staples. I want to come back next week for the tortilla Espanola vendor. Being the end of summer, there were some amazing hybrid fruits that were in the market. I can't even tell you what the fruits were because the farmers cross pollinated a bunch of stuff to make delicious stuff.

It happens each Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM. This market is filled with all your essentials. Tons of fruits, veggies, cheeses, meats, baked goods, flowers, house plants, dips, and more. There was even a bagel spot with a line about 50 people deep. I am my best self at a farmers market, but often leave with an empty wallet. I snagged hummus, kombucha, green juice, and a floral arrangement in one visit. A few things that make this spot incredibly special: 1. there's a plethora of parking and it's free for the first 2-hours. 2. They literally have a dog valet where you can drop off your pet before shopping the local vendors. Quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. 3. It's literally hosted at the marina with a gorgeous view of the boats and water. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon picnic with your farmers market goodies. Highly highly recommend adding this to your weekend itinerary.

It takes place at a beach-side park and features everything you could need to stock up for the week. Most recently I've seen bagels, donuts, hummus, sauces, meats, dog treats, live music, empanadas, juices, veggies, fruits, and more. I love that the majority of their vendors are hyper local. You'll discover fan-favorite businesses here like Solis and Devi's Donuts that you won't find outside of the Long Beach foodie scene. The best part? This farmers market is dog friendly! Practically unheard of. The widespread outdoor environment is perfect for your furry friend. There's also a lot of trees, shaded areas, and grass, so you can instantly dive into your collection of locally made goodies picnic-style.

It's not too big but it does offer a lot of produce vendors and food vendors. It's is pet friendly as it's in the park. One side is where the produce is. Loads of nice fresh and beautiful fruits and vegetables. Farm fresh eggs also available. They do have a good amount of vendors selling gifts and trinkets. You have apparel, there's a cute pet vendor and more. The side where the stage is with a live band is where all the food vendors are located. There's been pizza, bagels, made to order meals as well as seafood vendors. There's quite a good amount on food. With the stage being there, they alway had a live band performing and keeping people entertained. Dancing happens which is a nice way to get people to enjoy themselves. It's a pretty cool market but parking is limited as it's alway pretty busy at the park.

Operating on Friday from 10:00 - 14:00, the Downtown Long Beach Farmer's Market takes up the North Promenade between 3rd and 5th street. The information desk and admin center booths are located on the south end (3rd street), with ready to eat hot foods north of 4th. Officially, only service animals are allowed, but we saw quite a few leashed dogs walking with their owners. It was a decent selection of fresh vegetables, much of which seemed to be grown by the vendors (the strawberries being an exception). There was also fresh bread, honey, and nuts. I did stop and purchase some cold noodles from a family run food stall called Yum Yum for $10. They were giving out free samples of the noodles which reeled me in....usually not a fan of cold noodles, but this version was good. Not sticky, with a good bit of chew, packaged very professionally. It came with a little reusable tote bag, which was convenient to use to bring the food home.

It was our first time actually walking around and checking it out. I've alway seen the sign but always to forget that it was going on till it was over. Thursday morning from 8-12. Vendor vise, mainly produce. One floral stall, a couple produce vendors with farm fresh grown veggies and fresh eggs, two fruit vendors one with dried fruits and the other with a minutes of berries. There was also a stall with a couple varieties of mushrooms. Then lastly you have the baked good stall with baked sourdough breads and pastries, and another with granola as well as a vendor with olive oils, tapenade and dips. Lastly an art vendors selling her painting. It's a small little market but cute with what they have to offer. Of course it's mainly the locals that come by but when we arrived around 10:30, it was pretty quiet. Give or take a couple of shoppers and bystander walking by.

I saw two produce stands and a majority of the Market was made up of places to grab lunch or a snack, along with arts and crafts. Unfortunately, they don't have a social media presence that would allow me not to waste my time coming here when they occasionally cancel the market. For example, the week of July 4, 2024 the market was canceled, even though July 4 was a Thursday, not a Tuesday. Today vendors included: 2 or 3 produce, French bakery, tamales, pupusas (smelled really good!), bread, hummus, jerky, crystals, soap.
