Fresh Sweet Strawberries! Doesn't get better than that. I've been here at least once a week for the last 2 months. They have a card, 3 baskets free after 12 purchases! Love it! Highly recommended

The yummiest strawberries in town. Fresh and super sweet! We bought $12 worth and only half made it home.

Holy moly am I impressed by this local farmers market…read more The Long Beach Southeast Farmer's Market is located on the backside of 2nd & PCH in the Alamitos Bay Marina parking lot. It happens each Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM. This market is filled with all your essentials. Tons of fruits, veggies, cheeses, meats, baked goods, flowers, house plants, dips, and more. There was even a bagel spot with a line about 50 people deep. I am my best self at a farmers market, but often leave with an empty wallet. I snagged hummus, kombucha, green juice, and a floral arrangement in one visit. A few things that make this spot incredibly special: 1. there's a plethora of parking and it's free for the first 2-hours. 2. They literally have a dog valet where you can drop off your pet before shopping the local vendors. Quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. 3. It's literally hosted at the marina with a gorgeous view of the boats and water. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon picnic with your farmers market goodies. Highly highly recommend adding this to your weekend itinerary.

They have a variety of bread with limited ingredients. My favorites are, Gilroy Garlic Sourdough with chunks of garlic, Rosemary Garlic Sourdough, Miners Sourdough, Cranberry Walnut and the Cinnamon bread. I have also found a vendor who sells some hard to find squash. Although end of season, I purchased a honey butternut squash and this past Sunday, a Red Kuri Squash. The carrots in a variety of colors are in season and so deliciously sweet when roasted. During my last visit, I also purchased a watermelon radish. They now sell meat, seafood and have music for kids. You won't be disappointed with this Farmer's Market!

We happened to walk by and noticed a good amount of tents were set up and walked over to see what it was about. Well it's another farmers market. It's not too big but it does offer a lot of produce vendors and food vendors. It's is pet friendly as it's in the park. One side is where the produce is. Loads of nice fresh and beautiful fruits and vegetables. Farm fresh eggs also available. They do have a good amount of vendors selling gifts and trinkets. You have apparel, there's a cute pet vendor and more. The side where the stage is with a live band is where all the food vendors are located. There's been pizza, bagels, made to order meals as well as seafood vendors. There's quite a good amount on food. With the stage being there, they alway had a live band performing and keeping people entertained. Dancing happens which is a nice way to get people to enjoy themselves. It's a pretty cool market but parking is limited as it's alway pretty busy at the park.

Saw the ad for Alma Backyard Farms on IG last week. Was already three weeks in on a Parasite…read moreCleanse and was laying off a week and was surely in need of some Vegetables and Fruits. Came over to Yelp to look it up and discovered it was held at my old kindergarten school (St. Albert's) and stomping grounds. Knowing exactly where it was I pulled up and was greeted at the gate with a smile and a thorough yet brief breakdown as to how the farm works and its history as well as where to start and other things I needed to know. Was delighted with the fact they had an area to enjoy Coffee or Brunch and a Kitchen. Great start to the experience indeed. Walked in and immediately was pleased to find all the ingredients I needed for my green juice as well as others. Met other vendors and hosts where we carried on great conversations and exchanges of knowledge and information regarding cleanses fasts and detoxes. Grabbed two loafs of Sourdough Bread (one with Olives the Other Buttery) as well as a Banana Bread and a Coffee Cake all made fresh that turned out beyond flavorful and delicious from Varsity Bakers. Had a nice little haul (capturing all that I needed as well as came for) that cost me short of seventy dollars. Went over to the brunch area and enjoyed house made complimentary Coffee that I paired with the Coffee Cake I purchased from Varsity Bakers and had a nice conversation with a complete stranger that was pleasant and positively capping off the overall experience on a high note. There were plenty of people there (and I got there shortly after 9 a.m.) that added as well to the overall vibe and energy of the experience. There was a Flower Vendor as well as a Basketball net Exercise Bars. Rows of Fresh planted Vegetables. Just a great Vibe. Will surely visit again soon. Gratitude and give thanks to Alma Back Yard Farms, Varsity Bakers, and all the staff I encountered. Thank you for a great experience and I surely appreciate what you all do in providing a sort of, Oasis, in the Community for Fresh and healthy food choices. See you soon.
