At that time I did what I felt was the correct procedures and exchanged information with the other party, took photos, and talked to the police etc. I was able to get home and call the insurance companies again to get started on what was required to repair the vehicle and also what steps I needed to see medical assistance. But I was overwhelmed with the amount of indifference, apathy and confusion created by both insurance companies. The insurance companies were good about taking care of my car but were not helpful in providing me with assistance in navigating through the maze of personal injury care. I was so frustrated in trying to get medical care. I heard statements like, " you need to talk to the other insurance company " and statements from medical profession such as" we do not offer third party coverage" were repeated over and over. Then the paperwork started to accumulate, often in language I had trouble deciphering. It was then that I called Kelley & Canterbury who took over the paperwork, handled the insurance so that I could receive the care I needed, and took the frustration away!
