Chef Antonio Chiodi Latini and our host Andrea served us an absolutely incredible dinner of seven interpretations (courses), with every single dish showing laser-focused attention to ingredient quality, preparation, and presentation. They also showed great care by slightly modifying a couple of the dishes to match our dietary needs. Every dish was described in detail to us in Italian by Chef Latini and then translated for us by Andrea. This really added to the experience for us. We were so impressed that we returned the very next day for lunch as well - four interpretations of lighter fare, but again perfectly selected, prepared, and presented. If you are visiting Turin and able to splurge on vegan fine dining, I highly recommend a visit for dinner, and if you're on a budget either enjoy their lunch or visit their newly opened Caffe on Via Bertola.

Started the night with a Piedmont red wine and cheese plate. I then had the mixed salad with lard, chestnuts, croutons, honey, and maccagno, which was a very fillings salad! I honestly could have been done at that point. Husband had the very interesting (and tasty) risotto with parmesan, pears and wasabi gel. We'd ordered two meat dishes as well just because they'd sounded so good on the menu. I can never resist when I see venison, so I had to get the marinated, stewed deer served with red cabbage. It was a HUGE dish, very filling, and I ended up having to take most of it to go. Sweetie got the beef steak that was served with a rich sauce and crispy potatoes...again, we took a lot of that to go with us. Despite how full we are, sweetie always needs his dessert, so we got the thankfully light panna cotta to share. The staff was gracious and helped us through our meal. Everything is made in-house and there is no set menu. The menu is set by the freshest ingredients possible. Each person chooses a "line" for 2-3 courses, depending on what you would like to spend. For dinner, I chose the vegetarian line and had a roasted portobello mushroom with fontina and cherries. The flavors were fantastic and unexpected. For my second course, I had roasted vegetable ravioli. Also excellent. My husband had a sea bass ceviche with house-made ricotta (best dish of the entire meal) and a poached fish dish with spinach. The total, including two glasses of wine and sparkling water, was 42 euros. Lunch was a whole different affair. We stood in line for the 12:30 opening and were treated to a multi-course meal. They had either a seafood or a meat line, and we both had the seafood. They also had a caprese salad on offer. Don't make our mistake, unless you want a lot of food--choose either the fish/meat or the salad. Both are more than enough on their own. The amuse-bouche was a piece of asiago with blueberry sauce and sea kelp. The main was pasta (I forget what type, house-made, similar to rigatoni) with a pomodoro seafood ragu. Incredible. Lunch includes dessert (custard with fig preserves), house-made foccacia and breads, homemade fruit juice, and espresso. All for 10 euros per person! Both meals were fantastic. You must go in with the mindset that you will eat wonderful, unexpected flavors. This is a great place for people who want great food, a great experience, and again, no menu. Hands down, Happy Days Bar had the best. They make their own granita in-house. They taste like a burst of fruit or nut with whatever flavor you choose. I tried the canteloupe melon and it tasted like I was biting into a cantaloupe. There are little pieces of fruit in the granita as well to assure you that the granita is really fresh. This is really the first time I've had granita while in Italy. I'm more of a gelato fan. However, the granita here was keeping me alive in the 90+ degree Farenheit temperatures and I was delighted to make such a fantastic find. Eat the granita here and enjoy!
