They never called me back to let me know they canceled my order after accepting the order - just left me hanging. Took the Enterprise rental car there to get the oil changed. Waiting in the lounge. Service took about an hour. I asked if they refilled the fluids such as windshield cleaner and was told they do all of it. Come to find out, they did not. It was an "okay" experience since I had to take my own rental car in. We noticed that our two front tires were nearly bald after only 9000 miles on our RV. The crew at Farwest could not have been more accommodating. We were in a tight spot on time and they took us in right away. They aligned and replaced tires on the RV in less than two hours while we waited comfortably in their sitting area. The owner and his wife were so good to us; she even came downstairs to visit with us and tell us about local theatre, dog shows, fishing trips and their RV adventures. What nice people. We can also not say enough good things about Bill. He was so nice and kept us informed of the progress each step of the way. Their prices are very reasonable on their products and serives. WARNING ! Don't buy your tires there ! I spent $850 on new tires ,the 2 front tires kept getting very low ! I took it there and they said the engine is in the front and that's why they lose pressure (over 10 pounds ) I requested then to have the front tires checked for leaks ! the staff is not trained to do the work ! they could not remove the lug nuts on my Lincoln and requested $350 to do it !!!!!!! it looks like they tightened them to much ! after going back and forth with the manager ! I decided to go somewhere else and my lug nuts are fine now ! DO NOT USE THIS TIRE PLACE !!!!! read more

This used to be my Tire-Shop of Choice. The employees continue to be Super Friendly and Knowledgeable. Unfortunately my last visit to them turned out to be my final visit. I buy my tires online and as free-shipping is becoming standard, I've noticed many others doing the same including my own Friends and Family. For me personally, its the best option in every way. In the past 2-3 years Farwest has installed at least 4 pairs (8 tires total) of brand new, brand-name tires I have purchased online. I was always charged a reasonable price and was in-and-out pretty fast. This last time I came in, things were different. I was going to have 2 new tires I purchased online installed as I normally would. They were Brand New, Name Brand and even still had the factory tag\spec sheet attached to each tire. The man working the front desk (Who I believe is a manager) came out and looked at them and asked me "Where did you buy these?". I told him I bought them online. He then proceeded to tell me they have a new rule in place at Farwest and charge $50 Per-wheel (Dismount, Mount & Balance) when installing new tires which have been purchased online. When I asked Why, he told me "Because they are the competition". With the $50 not even including disposal of the old tire, it was going to cost me Over $100 to have 2 tires put on my car... It was a really strange situation. I felt a combination of discrimination and attempted price gouging. At the time I was unaware of what other places in town would charge me for the same service. Luckily for me and Unfortunately for FarWest, I wasn't in a massive rush or in a desperate situation. So I left, made a couple calls to the other tire shops in town and in the end it only cost me $37-Total Someplace Else. The logic behind this new policy\rule is a little mind-boggling. I guess they assume it will cause people to buy tires through them directly next time around. Or perhaps they see it as a way of "recouping" costs for tires not sold. But as a customer, it made me look elsewhere entirely. At least as I was buying tires online I was still coming to them for the service of mounting and balancing. Now its the Servicing side of their competition that is getting my money. This policy\rule makes Farwest considerably more expensive than anywhere else in town for people who purchase their tires online or elsewhere. ~Update 3/13/2014: After seeing the owner reply to my rating I feel the need to clarify a couple things. The Employee (Perhaps even Ted W, Himself.) did mention the Flat Repair, Rotation and Valve Stems. I didn't want any of this. Again, I just wanted tires put on. Each tire would need to experience numerous flats before the added cost of your "Services" could remotely resemble Value. The Rotation service is of no use to people with staggered wheels and\or vehicles where rotations aren't recommended by the manufacturer (Me on Both Counts). A tire shop including "Free Valve Stems" equates to McDonalds including "Free Ice" in their drinks. The second thing I wanted to mention is my rating. The last time I attempted to give you my business, you were unable to do the most basic of things expected of your establishment at a cost even nearly reasonable. When you start price gouging customers and tacking on "Services" they don't want - You can't honestly be surprised when it has a negative impact on the way customers see or feel about your company. When selecting two stars I thought about all the times previously I had provided you business. My 2-Star rating comes from a place of sensible honesty and I stand-by it. read more

Reese was very responsive and friendly to work with. I had one set of tires (purchased elsewhere) mounted and balanced at a much better price than I could get from local competitors. Farwest did great work with a quick turn around time. I'll definitely be back for future tire needs. I highly recommend this place. read more

Do not bring your Priceless vehicle to this business. They ruined a $850 brake job there was two comebacks also they either lost or broke my hubcap covers so they didn't tell me and they replace them and they don't match. They took advantage of a disabled elderly woman that has spent thousands of dollars at the business, and they wanted more money after the comeback when I told the mechanic to do everything . Then in less than a month they wanted another $500 that's what mechanics do take advantage of the disabled elderly! They ruined a beautiful vehicle. read more

A couple winters ago my work van was sliding terribly on the ice..so I called and set an appointment for 8 am and explained how important it was for me to go back to work asap. From the beginning I was treated badly and I sat in the lobby for an hour until I got bored and sat outside on the curb..from the curb I watched as the "technicians" goofed off and did practically no work..I sat there stressing about my own customers until finally at 11:00 am !?! They said my van was ready. ..I assume the tall guy with the light hair was the "manger"..anyway..I handed him nearly $800 and he took it with an attitude and a frown. I was beyond patient with this store but I will NEVER give them another dime of my hard earned money. ..they have an awful lot to learn about the true meaning of "customer service"...never again read more

I am new to the area and for a while have had a slow leak in my tire. I called Farwest to make an appointment to get the leak fixed. (I had previously gone to another place and my tire continued to loose air) I showed up quite a bit early for my appointment but they were ok with that and happy to help fix my tire.
