This gallery was a long-time resident at Cherry Creek North where they had a rather confusing warren of several spaces that were joined together over the years. They have now moved to a massive, new location at the Denver Design Center, more than doubling their showroom space. The general category is modern art, but Fascination Street shows a wide range of artists and styles from pop art to expressionism, abstract to realism, not to forget figurative works, impressionisn, surrealism, and even whimsical works that don't fit into other categories. Media ranges from oils and other paintings of many types to sculpture, drawing, prints, and mixed media. The new space is a huge warehouse that's almost overwhelming, but it's broken up into sections with moveable walls that provide a large amount of display space. Lighting is excellent with very little glare. There's lots of helpful, friendly staff to address any questions. Many of the artists represented are mid to late career. The price point is moderately high for original, contemporary art. The Web site provides a good cross-section of the artists/works represented, so this might be a good place to start. Took a framed poster in to try to salvage it from water damage- personally priceless as it represented my brother's debut with the New York Philharmonic over 40 years ago. Nash with Denver Custom Frames (part of Fascination St. Fine Art) could not have been more understanding, knowledgeable, and helpful as he was truthful that it will never be perfect but offered to clean it, change the backing, and do the best he could. My daughter cried when she saw the improvement- thanks to Nash. It now hangs proudly in our Living Room again. Thank you Nash and Denver Custom Frames! I've been looking for a Nano Lopez "Nanimal" for a while now. I finally found "Katrina" and asked the gallery I normally use and was told that it was no longer available. I thought it odd since it's a fairly new sculpture. When I mentioned that they clarified the statement by say they no longer had any. I then came across Fascination St. Fine Art in CO. I asked for information on "Katrina" and received information very quickly. I was contacted by Brinley Miller who assisted me and made the entire transaction extremely pleasant. I was concerned about using Paypal and was able to complete the purchase via encrypted email. I would recommend this gallery to everyone. These people STARTED OUT very nice. I was interested in a Robert Bissell piece that they had advertised as in stock on their website and made an on-line inquiry. The next day, there was a 10% off coupon in my email inbox, which was very nice. We called and ordered the piece. We paid with a credit card, made arrangements for shipping and asked about how it would be shipped. We were told to expect it in the mail within 5-10 days by the nice sales person. Now, five days later, (when I'm started to get excited about it's arrival) we are notified that the gallery does not have the piece and cannot locate it anywhere else either. Apparently they are selling items not in their inventory. This is especially upsetting because I KNOW it's hard to find and was very happy that they apparently had it in stock. I just don't understand how companies get away with lying to customers like this for FIVE DAYS! We should have received a call back immediately - no, we should have been told the truth and never been suckered into giving them our money in the first place. What a pain!!! ***UPADTE**** After posting this and also writing directly to the artist, the piece that I was looking for was found and I was happy to receive the artwork, shipped from a totally different gallery in SF. I am still unsure about how it all went down, as I haven't heard what I believe to be the true timeline of events from anyone. Things that I have heard - that it was a miscommunication with the publisher and it is usual practice for galleries to sell something as "in stock" before knowing it really is. (They don't know what is or isn't really in stock, since it isn't physically at their gallery.) I heard the Bissell studio found it and had it sent to me from another gallery, I heard the original email from the gallery to the publisher went to their spam folder....I heard the owner paid retail for it when he finally found it. (The owner was nice enough to call me, tell me that AFTER he read this review.) He asked me to change this review as he was "shocked and appalled" at my review. Let's be clear here-I am SUPER HAPPY I got this piece, but I am really confused about how it all happened. When I hear a salesperson who has already had my money for FIVE days say it was a "miscommunication", something is definitely not right. What's so wrong with something like, "we cannot guarantee it's in stock, but will take your card number and only charge you after we have found it"? OKAY if they have art you like, go for it, but be sure they have the piece in stock before giving them your money. "Regular practice" or not, that's just good sense. read more

I have bought from Fascination St for the 9 years I have lived in Colorado. The owners and staff are fabulous, educated, classly and understand customer service. They have guided me wisely through my art collection so well, that all of my pieces are worth more then when I bought them. I LOVE evey piece they have sold me. What I also love is when I need to find something that isn't in stock (as it isn't smart business to sit on too much inventory..art isn't cheap) they do all the legwork to track it down. I recall them finding a sold out piece for me...above and beyond. My commet to Jen P. I don't know how much art you collect but if every art gallery had everything in stock like a Walmart, they couldn't stay in business since fine art isn't cheap. An experienced buyer understands it is standard practice for an art gallery to secure a serious buyer, with an usual request and then take a week to see if they can track it down. Only a serious art gallery would take that time to make 50 phone calls to see if they can get you that piece. If they can't find it, no big deal, they won't charge you for their efforts. If they find it, you are the happy owner of something that was impossible to get. I don't know what misunderstanding happened but if they did anything wrong, it was to not explain that they didn't have it in stock but have the ability to track it down for you. Unfortunately, if they had told you that, our "need gratification now" personalties would've hung up and called the next gallery. And then the same story...different gallery...only...they may have never found that piece. Life is too short to hold a grudge...you are the owner of a sold out piece. Be happy! I ordered a custom canvas online, and, to save shipping costs, decided to have it stretched here in town once it arrived. Knowing nothing about having a canvas stretched, I inquired at a few framing shops. Fascination St was quick to reply. Once the piece arrived, I took it to the shop to have it stretched. I was intimidated about entering a fine art gallery, but the staff was kind and welcoming. They estimated two weeks for the canvas stretching, but delivered in just three business days! My boyfriend bought a few pieces for me about a year and a half ago and had a great experience, and I had an amazing experience this past weekend. Not once did I feel like I wasn't as much of a priority as anyone else just because I wasn't there with a wad of cash. I was there for an art signing with the pieces my boyfriend bought, not necessarily to make another purchase, and they were still so friendly. When we did decide to purchase a piece, there was no rush to deal with the payment, they waited until after that piece and the ones we already had were signed. This was nice as it left us with time to do some additional browsing before the signing, while it wasn't quite as crowded as it got later in the afternoon. I worked with Shelby to schedule the signing appointment online, and in the shop for the purchase and signing. She was absolutely awesome and friendly the whole time. I fully intend on reaching out to her for any future purchases. My boyfriend dealt with a couple other people when he was there previously (don't remember their names) and had an excellent experience with them as well. The framing he wanted done was going to be very custom, and the cost was far above his budget. The person he was working with offered an alternative that was much cheaper but still achieved approximately what he was hoping to do. They have artwork for a variety of tastes and budgets, and not a single employee I interacted with was snobby or pretentious, as can be the case at many other art galleries. Their framing is pricey but absolutely gorgeous and worth the money. You are always welcome to purchase the artwork and get the framing done later if it's not in your budget at that time. read more

After reading the mixed reviews, I was a bit skeptical to order my artwork because I had not visited the gallery and would be placing my order online or over the phone. After speaking with Aaron I started to relax and took a leap of faith. I am so glad I did! This place is ridiculous. We have purchased a few pieces from this gallery. Mainly, work from Napoleoni. The artist was in town this summer, so we made an appointment to visit with him and get a drawing. An hour and a half after our scheduled appointment, we get ready to see the artist. However, one of the 'sales' people allowed a woman who just bought a small piece from her go ahead of us. Very rude!! Next, we own more than 20 pieces of Fazzino's work. He came into town and I was going to bring the family to see him. My husband, who was out of town at the time, contacted an employee at the gallery he has worked with and told her we planned on coming and wondered if we needed to make an appt. to see the artist. She told my husband she could schedule a time with him IF we bought a piece of art work. This place is ALL ABOUT the sale. I had been looking for a particular piece of art by Michael Goddard for my son's birthday and called this gallery and spoke to Tierney on a Saturday. I was thrilled to learn that they had this piece of art in stock. Upon placing my order on the phone at that time, I immediately received a receipt via email and my art was shipped on Sunday. I received this art in perfect condition at my office on Thursday (Denver to New Jersey), in time for my son's birthday. Was in there looking at a few pieces that i had been wanting to get for a while now. The prices were the standard industry price points for highly produced glicees. So that was fairly standard. However was offered a few little "bonus" prints at a deep discount (75% off) if i were to make a purchase from them. These prints were from an artist i knew and was familiar with. I was unaware that he sold paper lithos, upon contacting him he told me that these lithos were supposed to be given away with purchase, not sold. Also i was told the all the hand highlighting was done by the artist ( when in fact i know it is done by an apprentice). When i went back in to ask them about this is was treated like a scumbag and everyone dissappeared, no one would help me. So if you are a uniformed person they will treat you great and use all thier smoke and mirrors to get you to buy. But if you knwo what you are talking about and understand the "art dealer game" and you call them out on their poor and dishonest buisness practices they wont even speak to you. Best part is all of their art can be purchased from hundreds of other dealers accros the country. Beware, they are a dishonest buisness who will lie to you to make money. Buy at own rish read more

I have purchased 2 Todd White paintings from this gallery. I live in California, and the first I ordered on-line. I was a little uneasy about ordering from a gallery I had not visited, but I did my research & it seemed to be reputable. My mother now lives in Denver, and as such I made the time to visit the gallery. What a beautiful gallery it is! I liked it so much I bought a 2nd Todd White painting. They shipped it the day after I bought it & I can't wait to hang it in my home! The first time I dealt with Alice, and the second time with Ele.
