When I first started in a retail career, I learned early on not to judge a book by its cover (just because someone doesn't go shoppingin designer clothes doesn't mean they don't have money to spend). Well, the women working the day I went in were definitely not living by that philosophy. All I can say is that I witnessed the poorest customer service I've ever seen. I was made to feel that I had no right to shop in this store, and was given the "once over" when I walked in. This business has very nice things but the customer service is the most Atrocious thing ever! they were rolling their eyes and acting disrespectful to us the minute we walked in. The only time they were nice to us is when I decided to purchase something. We had asked to share a dressing room and the lady practically yelled at us. There were other people in the store that were older than us and they acted politely towards them. We wanted to speak up but did not have the confidence to a the time. Anytime we were looking through a rack they gave glared at us from across the room. Do not recommend going to fashion avenue if you do not want to feel less then welcome in their store. read more

This is my hometown, and when I fly back I literally pack a suitcase of things to bring by here I like this place so much. They are very thorough in looking through your items, and do not take things with stains, etc-which is great for the buyers! My first visit I found a fabulous pair of Rock and Republic skinnies and a Vince blouse amongst all the great stuff while my items were being scoped out. They send the checks out of state to me at my permanent residence, and when I misplaced two, I called and they actually were kind enough to go through, figure out which ones had not been cashed, and send out some more! That is amazing service. My things all sold for decent money, and as a buyer and consignor I would say its a great deal for everyone involved. :) read more

They never fail me. I may fail them when I don't walk off with the Mulberry Bag for 325.00 that is so fabulous. But they never fail me. I walked in with a great skirt I owned and said help me find the right shoes. They did and they are awesome shoes. Then of course I matched it with a great necklace- 18.00- amazing! My daughter bought her prom dress there. I have bought great purses- not used. I can guarantee there is a treasure to be had everytime you go. Their sense of style is so trend forward and the young girls working there are fabulous. read more

Daune from June actually suggested this place to me, and when I happened to find myself in the Dirty 'Zata for business this week I swung past. Let me first say that I would never, never drive all the way to Wayzata to shop here. I adore resale because I have a nonprofit-sized budget, and while there were some things here that were an absolute steal (thanks for the $25 J Crew silk blouse!) the shop is set up to cater to brand fiends. I'd say 3/4 of their racks were packed with gorgeous- and unattainably priced- designer label clothing. If you're someone who considers a silky-sweet, cocktail-hour Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress to be a bargain at $175, this place will be your jam. If you're someone whose interest is piqued by a finely-woven suit jacket and then your teeth seem to crumble in your mouth when you see a price tag for $450, this probably isn't your playground. Also, I'm not a woman who sees four racks of purses and has the whole world go fuzzy while "When Will I See You Again/Precious Moments" ramps up in the background. If that describes you, Fashion Ave 2 is a worthwhile place for you to check out. For a non-purse person, their selection was absolutely intimidating and I practically ran past that section of the store. Super nice dressing rooms, though! read more

So I have been in this store many times and spent lots of $$$ but I can't recommend going out of your way not because there's not plenty to choose from and maybe something for everyone. They are just sooo unfriendly!! There's always 4 or 5 girls working and I can't imagine why no one can muster a small hello when you walk into the place. Or when you're staring into a locked jewelry case? Do they all need to be very busy doing something else that they can't ask if you need help? Unfortunately, I do return because it's close to my house. I'm not unaccustomed to the snobbish Wayzata treatment as I've lived in this part of town for 20+ years but these guys take the cake. Bring a friend because you'll need moral support. read more

Women in there are pretty rude. Barely acknowledge your existence. Decent items but some overpriced.

I've drove by this shop many times, a cute dress in the window caught my eye this morning and so I decided to stop in and check it out. When I walked into the store there were 3 women working in the front area tagging merchandise. I checked out the dress in the window, then spent the next 30 minutes browsing the racks. Literally, in that entire half hour, not ONE of the sales clerks asked if I needed help or even acknowledged that I was there, and the crazy thing is for the majority of that time I was the only customer in the store, so they sure weren't that busy. A couple women stopped by with items to consign, and they appeared to know them and spent time chatting with them, but not once did they take the time to acknowledge I was even there. The store has a nice selection of clothing, and a lot of "new with tags" items. But - in looking closer at the tags on the new items, some of them had dates as old as 2009 on them, and multiple sizes in the exact same "new" items, almost like they were buying out old "designer" clearance or something. I'm sure there were plenty of good deals to be had, but I found the treatment/lack of acknowledgement by the sales clerks so off-putting that I doubt I would return. It would benefit the business to realize that a quick "Hi" and a "let us know if there is anything special you are looking for" could go quite a long ways. We have a net worth in the mid 7 figures, the cost of the items was absolutely not an issue and I enjoy checking out local consignment shops and buy quite a few things that catch my eye, but I doubt I would return to this one as it just was not a welcoming atmosphere. read more

Fashion Avenue 2, I love you! Exceptional finds, consignment prices. Get in there during a sale- there are HUGE discounts. They have a really nice selection. Very organized, spacious. Fun atmosphere to shop in. Location is great, right on Lake St by d'Amicos. read more

While visiting Minneapolis, we stopped in Fashion Avenue & loved it. Personal attention from the owner Kim & her helpful sales staff made the trip extra special. Located in a cute little town with lots of shops & restuarants, this store offered cream of the crop merchandise that was well organized. Glad we made it there! read more
