    Seating available to eat

This place is my kind of place. It's diverse and welcoming to everyone. There are a lot of BIPOC vendors. There are so many food stalls with so many kinds of ethnic cuisine, a produce market, Halal meat, and some scattered tables to sit down and enjoy your food. This is a good spot to spend about two hours, eating and shopping.

Parking is $2 for 0-1.50 hours and $4 for 1.5-2. You can find food stalls, a restaurant, market, clothing and product stalls inside. It reminded me of an indoor swap meet but much smaller. A directory of the businesses inside would have been helpful, I walked around and didn't see one and didn't order any food. I did come across a stall with natural bath products and purchased a few items. Some of the shops looked closed or I didn't see an employee inside. I was looking for vegetarian options and didn't notice any. Next time I'll review the website before arriving to view the list of merchants and check out their menus online. Some restaurants allow you to order online and have vegetarian options.

Love this place! It's like an international cafe and bazaar available every day. It's perfect for lunch if you're near the area. The only downfall is that parking is sometimes difficult so I have to pay $1.75 in the parking garage just to visit here. But it's so fun to take your time to walk around and check out all of the food and trinket shops. Service was friendly and efficient. And you really can't beat the selection, I was able to choose from Japanese (sushi) to pizza or Jamaican jerk chicken. There's something for everyone here!

Parking lot main entry. The global market is inside the beautiful 1920s era former Sears department store bldg.

Midtown Global Market is located on the 1st floor of the Midtown Exchange, formerly the 1920's era Sears department store in Lake Street and Chicago Ave. The building itself has beautiful art deco era utilitarian design. The market is comprised of numerous and varied international and culturally diverse restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and artistic gift shops in a sprawling open space where walkways lead you around "the square", with a soaring and open ceiling space above you. Overcome by choices, I opted for the delicious Mexican Salsa Ala Salsa, but could have easily dined on the Morrocan, Asian, Arepa, torta or smokey soul food offered. There's a middle eastern grocery store offering a plethora of Mediterranean spices, sweets, rices and meats etc. The whole experience is very colorful and explorative. The Allina Hospital campus is connected to the market via skyway which is great for the winter months.

What a find! Sadly we got there near closing and a lot of the places were already done for day. But the ones that were open were delicious. We started with the Moroccan stall, and ordered the meatballs (which had a better name I can't remember). Served with veggies and other sides, it was delicious. The people manning the stall (owners?) were also very nice. Next up we hit the Thai stall, for pad Thai. Our friends got this as well, and the one who grew up in Thailand said it was legit. He wasnt wrong! It was so good! The daughter also got a bubble tea, which she loved. We ended the evening with an arepa and yucca fries from the tapas stall. The sauce for the yucca was amazing and the arepa was filled with goodness. More stalls are opening and this place is going to be incredible

Midtown Market is an excellent place to eat and hang out! There are so many different options to choose from. Lots of delicious meals and snacks. There is also a piano open for anyone to play which adds to the pleasant environment :) Plenty of celiac friendly options to choose from - either marked specifically gluten free on the menu or the cooks will let you know what is safe to eat if you ask!

We ate at a little restaurant in the building called Cantina. It was really nice atmosphere. The staff was very cordial and attentive. The food was a hit with my family and I.

**July 2025: Sunday Morning Visit**…read more This is such a great Farmer Market and I'm so glad that I visited. On our last day in Minneapolis I happen to notice that we'd be able to attend this Sunday event. Farmers Markets in California all range in size so I didn't really know what to expect for this one - holy cow! It was huge and lots of different local things. They had Minnesota grown produce, handmade products, fresh flowers, baked good and so much more. I was introduced to Ty's Gingseng (https://www.tysginseng.com/) who grows and sells 6 year old ginseng powder - which is very high quality. I also bought relish from Red Ron's as well as some sausage links from another vendor. To be honest I probably could have spent at least 1.5 hours here if I wanted to really study all the booths and check everything out, but we had brunch plans and needed to depart within 45 mins. I would love to come back to support small! FYI: There's metered parking

Being able to support the community and get such staple items made my heart full. It probably wasn't the wisest choice getting hot soup on a hot day but it was so delicious. There was live music, went into the walk in cooler to take a break from the sun and went back to it. Every vendor was very nice and welcoming, got some treats for my dogs, a freshly made slush coffee, and some hot dogs to end the walk around. I can't wait to come back to grab more fruits and veggies and flowers!

What do you do when you can't decide where to go for dinner?…read more You go to @malcolmyardsmarket in Minneapolis (nestled close to Roseville just off of University and 280) This is such a different experience where you have so many options to order from with major ease. Check in and get a Market Card then walk around to find what sounds good. I've always thought this is the perfect place to go when you... -can't figure out what you want to eat -when you're meeting up with friends or coworkers -going on a first date -want adult food but also have a kiddo along. The Market has a beer wall, a full bar and multiple food vendors to order from. Over time new vendors take residence of the spots though there are some that have been around a long time. It's fun to get favorites and try new things. I'd suggest you go with the mindset to try different things and share with who you're with to find your favorites. They also have many areas to grab a seat and visit inside and outside. As well as special event space to rent. There is often activities at the Market so make sure to check them out if you're looking for more than a meal. As for the food I would say eat somewhere else as I have not been impressed with anything I have had here. Which is disappointing as Travail in Robbinsdale is amazing and their other concepts around the cities I like. However, for me the food here is a miss. As for service here the various food stalls are a bit hit or miss when it comes to service as well. Some are friendly some are a bit rude. The bartenders have always been nice and friendly. Also note the parking around this area is street parking or parking garages which during events (especially twins games) can be busy. Overall I just think this is a good place to meet up with friends for some drinks and enjoy the roof top or outdoor space.

That may be a good thing since I haven't seen it and the store would not test the $500 item to confirm that it worked or tell me what is the policy if something is not working when I receive it (it was a 6 year old car racing simulator with LOTS of electronic and non electronic parts). Their assurance that the unit was fully functional was - it's from someone in our neighborhood. Another reason why they made me very nervous is that they listed the unit's condition as - "nice" - talk about dodging the accepted standards of excellent, very good, good, average, etc. The person I communicated with also came across as very unfriendly (and made me wonder how professional this organization is). If you will deal with this unit or any of their franchises, keep in mind their negative reviews floating around the internet - here on Yelp and other places. I also read that they take 40% of the final, sold price, which I find ridiculous - you can put your own ad on craigs list etc and enjoy your own money.

Limited hours (open Saturday in the summer until 1pm only) makes it less accessible than other markets that are open more often. This means you can cover it in a very short time which is good in some ways but disappointing in others. The 3 star rating in no way means it is a mediocre market. Just smaller and with fewer vendors than other area markets. I do love the artisans present that are so proud of their wares and products (as they should be) and the highlight today for me was the homemade pickle vendor and his Habanero brined spears. I bought a $9 tub from him and my group of 4 nearly polished them all off while walking around the market in a matter of about 15 minutes! No complaints about what is available here I just wish that there was more of it!
