This place changed managers (owners?) a few months ago and we've been going regularly since then…read more [It was hit or miss before that.] Both my wife and I like the spa pedicures (which end with hot stones). Make a reservation, they're pretty good about the timing.

WARNING OWNER DANGEROUS!! ALMOST CALLED THE COPS!!!…read more This was not only my worst nail experience ever, but my worst experience on the planet to date. To give you perspective, I'm a 60 year-old woman who's been having her nails done since she was 17. To be fair, I read the reviews only after going in, that's on me. But everyone calling them 'rude' oversimplifies it. They weren't just rude, they were insolent, crass, and abusive. From the minute I walked into the empty salon, the man, and what I'm assuming is his daughter, were both agitated that I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. From picking my color, or having the audacity to ask questions about the brands they use, his every response was contentious. During the entire pedicure, I was manhandled to the point where he jabbed my toe with the cuticle tool so hard I yelped out in pain. That only annoyed him more. As I sat to get my manicure, waiting for my pedicure to dry, I had the gall to ask for water to take medication. He looked at me, sighed, then pointed to the water cooler clear across the room, where I had to tread carefully, not to ruin my pedicure, to get my own damn water. All during my time there, you could tell he was constantly complaining in Chinese to his daughter about me. Being that we were the only three people in the salon, I finally asked that they please speak in English because it's rude. He continued his Chinese rant louder then turned to me, shaking his head, and waving his arms in the air, saying, "Just sit there and don't talk!" I said, "Excuse me?" He repeated louder, "I said just sit there and don't talk!" That's when I got up to leave, and he started demanding I pay him $30. For what, I don't know, because the pedicure was ruined putting my wet toes into shoes, and he never did the manicure. That's when he got physical and attempted to stop me from leaving by chest bumping me away from the exit. Scared, I tried to push him away from me, but that's when his daughter joined in, and they both put their hands on me, grabbing at my arms, pulling at my shirt, demanding payment, and trying to wrestle me inside! I wanted them to call the police, but they were more interested in keeping me there. I was NOT staying inside that store where I didn't feel safe. I ended up having to push a row of their nail polishes (nothing broke) onto to floor because I was afraid they were going to start hitting me, and they were blocking the door!! In the end, my distraction worked. Sobbing, and shaking, I sought refuge in a nearby store to wait for my ride. Listen, if you're into assault, and obnoxious, uncouth behavior, this is the place to go. But don't go for the pedicures. They don't pumice or scrape, or scrub, and honestly, my three year-old niece could've done a better job. *************** WARNINGSHOP OWNER DANGEROUSALMOST CALLED THE COPS This was my worst experience to date, and to give you perspective, I'm a 60 year-old woman who's been having her nails done since she was 17. They are clean and have decent prices. They always do a great job on my pink and whites. I got charged a different price every single time like they were screwing me over and i rarely got anything different! I went to get my nails ripped off and had a new set put back on and the guy completely ripped my nail in half and it was bleeding like crazy ! AND ALSO HURT i was almost crying and he did nothing but complain that he had to rip the nails off for me and it was ridiculous and i should have done them myself because he shouldn't have too!.. my nail is still healing to this day and its been almost a month ! IM NEVER GOING BACK THERE ! they are so rude! And there is a young girl that works there some days because she usually works at a Monicello one i believe? she is in high school and is so rude she is the one that set me off and made me never want to walk back in there ! She judges you and if you pick a design or a color she will have a input on that and say is gross or ugly ! If you are working in a business like that you can't be saying stuff like that ! and than she had the nerve to say that i never go to them every two weeks i only come once in awhile and to "stop lying" ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! i must have spent thousands and thousands of dollars just to that business ! and for her to yell out loud and keep telling me I'm lying and to stop talking i was infuriated i suggest going to an american place and giving them your money rather than NUMBER ONE nails .....You will get more RESPECT because this place is not the place for THAT!
