Meghan was very accomodating both over the phone and in person. The hair cut was quick, but more importantly it was great and it feels good too. Will definitely be coming back. I recently moved to this area an I have three sons. Myself and my three sons have all had a wonderful experiences here. My 9 year old loves this place because they cut they just his hair quickly Although they do go quick the quality of the work is great. Most of all the cut my 18 month sons hair yesterday. He could not have made this harder for his barber as he was crying and fussing and moving for the first half. She was soo good. Owner is not a people person and treats her help like slaves. Not a good way to do business. Had stylist Amy and she did a wonderful job, but the owner was complaining off to the side the whole time I was there. Also noticed during the recent storm all other business where closed yet they remained open, with no place to park. Is it just me or is a hair cut low priority when conditions are so dangerous. I wouldn't want to be on the roads (in fact law enforcement request all non essential travel to stay home) why ask your employees to be. Never going back. Oh and side note, I hear Amy was fired for not showing up during that nor'easter, via a phone call after her last shift. Nice and professional. NOT read more

I feel bad writing this review, as I've had excellent experiences before. However this time was a bad experience. Walked into the business on a Wednesday afternoon. No one else in there. Don't know her name but she was the handicapped woman who is there. She looks at me no acknowledgement or hello. Was on her cell phone talking. I hung up my coat sat down, and waited...waited...waited...still on the cell phone talking. after 10 minutes I guess it was no go. Fast Jack's Butcher Shop is more like it!!! I was in that NH neck of the woods visiting friends, and as I needed a hair cut, thought I'd give this Salon a try after checking out their FaceBook page which stated: "Haircuts are 12 bucks and worth every penny of it." Worth every penny of it??? Are you freaking kidding me??? It turned out to be THE worst haircut ever!!! I did explain to the Hair Stylist I was nervous [as had in the past received awful haircuts from various salons], and asked she "take it nice and easy" and just give me a LITTLE shaping till I was comfortable with her cutting expertise. Well, she began cutting away and I knew immediately she had gone way shorter than anything I had has asked for, but I didn't realize just how bad the haircut was till I got back to the friends' house. It was so uneven that one side was almost two inches longer! It was a disaster and desperately needed to be fixed. That is when I, unfortunately, made another HUGE mistake! I went back the next day so the owner could fix the uneven mess. She did apologized for the very bad cut and assured me she'd take good care of me. Yeah right! To my absolute horror, she then also proceeded to chop away. My hair was cut so short, it looked like I had been scalped! And she cut it even more uneven! I was furious!!! The friends remarked, "OMG, the owner also butchered your hair like that?" I will have to wait 5 solid weeks for this awful cut to begin to grow out! Fast Jack's should stick to scalping and butchering MEN'S HAIR ONLY!!! If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would!!! read more

I went this morning to get my hair cut. This is the second time I have been to Fast Jacks. The owner cut my hair this morning. I have been going to high priced salons for the past few years and started looking for a barber shop just for a simple cut, and I wanted local. I have been to Fast Jacks twice now and I will return, every four weeks on Saturday morning. If you are looking for a salon, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a barber to cut your hair, give Fast Jacks a try. Cuts are $12. This place takes me back to when I would go to the barber with my father, 40 years ago.
