Yes, I was one of those skeptics that didn't think physical therapy was for me, especially when I wasn't dealing with a major injury. I've had my share of sprained and rolled ankles over the years (basketball isn't the kindest on the body), but I've let them heal on their own without incident. But after severe sprain in 2017, my sister noticed my right ankle didn't have the same dexterity as my left. I just wrote it off as being a little stiff from time to time, but not something that required any intervention. My curiosity got the better of me and I went in to get it checked out. I was having problems with arthritis in my neck for a period of time, from driving a semi for 35 years i've been going to quite a few chiropractors in the past and Orthopedic Surgeon's. All the surgeons did was give me Cortizone shots. The last chiropractor suggested that maybe I should go and see a physical therapist. Dr. Hroby suggested going to a FastBack. I did not disagree when I first entered the clinic. I only had 30% range in my neck, I now have 80% range and that is from the great staff at the clinic and the exercises and stretches that they have taught me. Hello, I have been boxing for over two years and find it very beneficial in making me feel better. Amy is a wonderful coach. She recently moved me into a group that does more strenuous workouts because I am doing so well! I went tent camping a few weeks ago and developed a sore back from all the bending and lifting of heavy gear. I called Fastback on Friday asking for help, and they got me in for physical therapy on Monday. They told me this was unusually fast due to an opening they had, and that as a rule they they try to get you in in 3-5 days. They made me feel better right away and I'm getting eight PT sessions which will, I'm sure prevent future similar issues. From my experience this is a lot faster than if I had gone to a hospital. My husband has been going for parkinson's boxing sessions and PT for the past year. They do specific training for all aspects of parkinson's deficits. It is also very good for his socialization. If he did not attend these sessions I don't believe he would be able to do the things he does at this time. Seeing others with the same issues helps him to realize he's not alone. I had a shoulder injury and needed PT. I was very satisfied with John's therapy so I also went there. I was taught strengthening exercises and proper body mechanics to help healing and prevent another injury. I have been pain-free and hope to try golfing again this winter and spring. I had an incredibly positive experience at FastBack Physical Therapy! I started the program with very bad spatial dizziness and debilitating neck pain and finished with very little of each! My sessions with Ashley Ziegler (and several times with her assistant, Hannah Karch), included exercises for balance, focus and mobility, which helped dramatically. The facility had excellent equipment. The staff members were top notch and knew exactly what type of exercises would help in my situation. They answered my questions and made certain I was doing the exercises correctly. And, they provided an app with my customized exercises so I could do them at home. I really like the person to person treatment I got. The PTs are knowledgeable and they work with you watching you perform the exercises and asking about any pain or discomfort. They rarely had their head buried in a laptop but had their focus on you. I worked with Justin and Ashley and both are great PTs. I'm also know Patrick and am glad his business is in my insurance network because I hate picking "blind" from a provider network. Upon arrival I am always greeted by friendly people at the front desk. I like how the Therapist escort the patient out to the reception desk to assist them in making their appropriate appointments. The Therapist is consistently ready with a new plan of attack. They are never simply going through the same exercises unless I have questions or need a review. I feel important to them from the moment I arrive in the clinic and feel sure I will return if a new issue comes up. If you have back or hip problems that PT has not improved, try Fastback P.T with Patrick. He is the only physical therapist I ever went to who has taken the time to train specifically on problems caused by feet. He had me doing exercises that were specific to the feet, but they greatly improved my back and hips when hiking or just walking. I spent a week in Utah this summer hiking an average of 8 miles each day in several National Parks with no problems. The reason why I went to FastBack because of my back surgery. I used physical therapy from another company last year, and they only showed me what I needed to do but to it at home. Here, twice a week, I spent from 45 minutes to an hour at each session to do and understanding all the exercises. They gave me personal focus and every couple of weeks to do evaluations. I was working on my balance. I feel that my care quality was excellent.
