I went there in September 2025for a physical for DOT here it is March 2026 and they still haven't turned in my Medical card into the MVD,call and went back 3 weeks ago they gave me another card saying they had fix the problem.All to find out that never happened .Call down there several times. I was a little skeptical when booking an appointment based on the negative reviews. We were desperate for a doctor on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, so we took a chance. We booked an online appointment 45 minutes later and headed on our way. When we arrived at our scheduled appointment time, there were a few forms I had to fill out that I forgot to do online and we were taken back almost immediately. The nursing and front desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful. I was especially impressed with the service provider, Ashley. She talked to us using real life terms and scenarios and helped us work through some options regarding my daughters illness. FastMed locations do not allow you to schedule an appointment. What you sign up for is a slot that will invariably be 1-2+ hours beyond your selected time. The locations have also done away with walk-in patients but nothing is mentioned about either of these things on their website. They will, however, take your copay up front so if you walk out; don't plan on getting it back without a fight or call to the bank. It appears that taking the copays is a tactic that should be investigated here. Don't pay it until you are about to be seen. Amazing staff, from the front desk receptionist to the RN and the Doctor! All amazing... Today was my first visit to a FastMed, I saw they had an e-checkin so I called first to make sure what was advertised was really how it worked and the person who answered the phone answered all of my questions and advised that e-checkin would save me time when I came in. Holy smoke! All medical practices should model their check in, insurance, and ID verification, after this establishment they even had a way for you to electronically sign and pick your appointment time and it all worked flawlessly. Once I arrived, I gave my name, my co-pay and was taken to the back within 7-10 min. First class staff, you all keep up the great work, thanks for everything you do! This location ROCK! read more

Showed up at 7:05 to get a physical after I thought I had scheduled it earlier in the day - said they had no more appointments available for today. Leaving to go out of the country at 6am in the morning and needed it done before I left. No concessions. 7:00 I could've gotten a physical, but not 7:05. Will not patronize this business again. Poor service, inadequate medical diagnosis. This clinic is a merely a gateway to the High Point Medical Center according to the staff. Be sure a look at the reviews of the Hospital before you seek medical treatment at either facility. Everyone was very nice. However, they have a medical assistant taking x-rays instead of a licensed radiologic Technologist. I received more radiation than was necessary because she failed to ask me if I was wearing a necklace, warranting a repeat x-ray. A registered Technologist would have known to check that beforehand. Also, the practice is not taking this employee's safety into consideration because she wasn't wearing a dosimeter badge to measure her exposure to radiation. She was a nice person but working outside her scope of practice. I will not return. read more

Walked in nearly in tears from the frustration of pain from a knee injury coupled with the frustration of finding an "in-network" care provider for an OJI. Receptionist could NOT have been any more distant and uncaring. A simple, insincere, "I'm so sorry...." would've gone a long way to leaving a more favorable impression. If I could give no stars I would. Front desk receptionist was very rude. Was told by my insurance they cover 100% of COVID test. The receptionist told me no they didn't and they weren't part of "them." I'm assuming they aren't apart of the CARES act that was signed into law on March 27, 2020. My wife visited this location on my recommendation yesterday. Outside of the four (4) hour wait, which was less than acceptable, my wife's description of "Mitchell's" bedside manner is: "Rude, Condescending, and Presumptuous!" The idea was to go here to get a quick diagnosis and meds/Rx for strep. Had I known it was going to take the four hours, we could have gone ahead and made arrangements to go to our PCP. Front desk and triage did well, but things really started going downhill when Mitchell arrived. The nurse indicated that when the doctor came in, he would provide the results of the strep test that was done at triage. Mitchell walks in and asks what brings her in. My wife replied "Strep Throat," and before being able to explain, she was quickly corrected that that was a diagnosis and not her symptoms. He began to make assumptions about her past medical history based on medications that she took, but never took the time to read the intake form to get the full picture. He also assumed other conditions that were not asked about and were not listed on the intake form. Of the questions he did ask, he was apparently not listening because he asked her twice what she did for a living. He also interrupted her multiple times while she tried to describe her symptoms. I am not sure how this Yelp system works, but I find it highly suspect that in the six reviews that are not considered relevant (if you look at the end of the reviews, there is a link to open up additional reviews that can be revealed) are reviews that could mirror this review. My first, and only other experience with this location, was when my daughter needed to be seen after hours. It was a much different experience and we were taken care of by a different PA. I'm pretty sure had I experienced Mitchell on that first visit, this would never have happened. read more

I have used this location since they opened but the last two times I have been there the customer service was nonexistent. The nurse walked away as she was speaking to me then acted shocked when I wasn't ok with that. This particular location has seriously gone down hill I went to the location on North Main in High Point and found the service and friendliness that was lacking from the Skeet Club location. I came in on a Saturday, 15 minutes before closing, yet I was still in and out in 40 minutes. The doctor that was there was top notch. He listened to me, broke things down without making me feel stupid, and was actually correct in his diagnoses of my sinus infection (I thought I had strep throat). I was able to find mold (the culprit!) in my home when I investigated the cause. Who knew over 90% of sinus infections are fungal? Fast Med also gives you FREE samples of various medications if on hand. I am so glad I stopped in, or else it could have been fatal breathing in all that mold! read more

Can I give a "0"??? Went in to get an escreen for pre-employeement. Called ahead and they told me just to walk in. When I get there they were out of TB tests. The manager stated she would call another facility to see if they had the test available. However, she received a personal phone call and remained on the phone for the remainder of my time standing there. I finally just asked for the number to call myself. Ended up having to look it up because the girl behind the desk stated that she would have to look it up too. Very rude and very unprofessional. I will not be back. read more

If you care about customer service even the slightest, I wouldn't recommend this specific location. The lady I was greeted by at the front desk was passive aggressive and not only to me but mostly every customer she spoke to. Everybody has their days but she definitely seemed like she didn't want to be there. I went in for a covid test...filled everything out and I was told I'd be called back "shortly"....well by "shortly" she meant 2 hours. I pride myself for my patience and I'm not a confrontational person , but I was at the peak of feeling Ill and it would have been nice to know that I was gonna have to sit there with body fatigue and the chills in an uncomfortable chair for two straight hours to only have a q tip slightly rubbed throughout my nostril...see the problem...waited two hours for something that took 2 seconds. My main concern is that I wasn't informed about much...they sent my test off , told me I'd hear back...no estimated time was given , nor did they tell me I wouldn't be receiving a call if I were to be negative. I waited the 5 days that their automated voicemail tells you it'll be before you get results, called and they said it takes 10 days for results. On the tenth day, I called and ask for my results , and only then am I notified that if I didn't receive a call , that I must be negative. I've been waiting on this info so I could go back to work and that is why I normally don't ever write reviews but this was just a very poor experience. Also There are quite a few bad reviews about the front desk....you'd think they'd take those reviews into account, but I guess not. Fast med , might wanna look into it because like I said , I personally sat there and watched each patient ( 5-7 at the most) walk in and react with surprise on how rude the lady was at the front desk, and there were even moments where a guest would be waiting while she was in the back gossiping and laughing about unrelated things with her coworkers...makes me wonder why there was such a long wait... read more

If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. Between the front desk person, Jenay and Dr. Mickel---this place is the WORST. They are discriminatory, unprofessional and flat out rude. Jenay refused to verify my insurance because she believed the office would be closed and no one would be there to do so. HOWEVER, if she would have taken the time to READ my insurance card, she would know KAISER is based out of California and it was 4:30PM PST and there was someone there to confirm my insurance. She then brushed me off after I explained these facts to her and told me, "let me help this other patient first"....and left me standing at the counter while she started talking to another person. I decided, I wanted to leave but before that, I wanted to talk to a manager about how I was being talked to and treated. Well good ol UNPROFESSIONAL Dr. Mickel (or however you pronounce his name), rolled his eyes the entire time and then cut me off to BARK, "are you going to be seen tonight or NOT??!!" At this point, I was almost in tears but I had my 2 year old baby with me and she already had been suffering from a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION, I was not about to get upset in front of her. I continued to state my case about how their front desk is a reflection of Fastmed, and that my insurance information should have been in the file and saved from the previous visit 9 months ago. Dr. Mickel AGAIN cuts me off, and asks, "IS THIS FOR MEDICAID??!!" I was taken aback. What the hell does Medicaid have to do with being treated rudely? NO it wasn't Medicaid, it was Kaiser. And is shows he wasn't listening or even caring. Yes, came in there with baggy clothes, a cap and hoodie on--but it was COLD and I was rushing to get my daughter seen. Yes, I am African American. But every black person with a hoodie and baggy clothes DOES NOT HAVE MEDICAID!!! So BEWARE of this office, if you are a minority or have Medicaid--you will be treated like a 2nd class citizen. Maybe if you DRESS TO IMPRESS they will at least smile at you before talking down to you and your child. I will NEVER step foot in a Fastmed location. I will take my chances at the ER or drive to Afterhours in Kernersville. read more

I went to FastMed Urgent Care with flu-like symptoms. I was worried that I had the flu because I had spent time with someone who was recently diagnosed. The front desk personnel and the nurse who saw me were very friendly, however the Dr. seemed very rushed and bothered that I was there at all. I mentioned my symptoms and he said he would test me for the flu as he was walking out of the exam room. He did not give me any time to ask questions. The worst part of my visit, however occurred as I was waiting for the nurse to come in with the test. The Dr. was outside my door and I could hear him discussing my case with interns or nurses. His words were "Is she really sick, or is she trying to trick us?" I do not know why he thought I would trick him. I thought I had the flu and did not ask for pain medicine or a note to get out of work/school. I could also hear him discussing other patients including one who wanted a pregnancy test. This very much soured my view of this urgent care. I would recommend that the Dr. practice listening to his patients and speaking in a quieter voice if he wants to insult them to other staff members. read more

I've been to this location three times now. The first was an absolute breeze. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I was in and out in less than an hour. The last two times have been far less satisfactory. Both times, I've been unlucky enough to see the same physician, Mitchell. He is the most rude and condescending person I've had to interact with in quite some time. Both times I have seen him, he's blatantly spoken down to me and, rather than listening to anything that I said, he implied that not only did I not know what I was talking about, but I must be an idiot for going about things the way I did. I have been to this place several times in the past with no issues but I took my son yesterday and it was the worst! The nurse didn't know how to get his pulse and the PA was a moron. I'm sure they got paid plenty and there was nothing they could do for my son...so he said. He wanted to have my son admitted to the ER, have chest xrays and blood drawn, IV antibiotics and steroids and was acting like he was dying. I took him there because we couldn't get to his PCP before they closed and I just wanted a doctor to listen to my son's chest because he has had head congestion and was coughing some. He gets pnenmonia easy and is a special needs child. If I thought for a second he was as bad as that PA thought then we would be in the ER. I was trying to bypass all of the extra germs from the ER because I only needed someone to listen to his chest. I will never go back again or take anyone there. read more

The word urgent you would think it would be within hour but nope if you have a urgent situation i DONT recommend they misused the word totally. i understand going to your primary care is the best but sometimes it doesnt work out that way but the word they use "fast" and "urgent" not at all and the employee doesnt seem happy at what they do. Places like this i feel like they are just here to take your money. Waited almost 2 hours and there was only 3 people in waiting room. I understand if they were busy but they werent because they only call one patient back at a time and work with only one until they are done. My experience with High Point, NC location.. This place is worthless! First of all, it took me 20 minutes to be seen and I had an appointment. The PA who finally saw me DID NOTHING for my condition. My husband called upon my return home and it she apologized and offered to see me again to run some tests. But I DID NOT WANT to go back after leaving there in tears. They had the nerve to bill my insurance company for an office visit and charge me a copay. When you receive a bill from them it gives you a website for convince pay............NOT! You cannot make a payment until you register and attach a credit care to your profile. I tried calling the location to make a payment. You cannot make a payment to them. You have to call Charlotte, NC and LEAVE A MESSAGE for the billing department to call you. They promise to return the call in 1 business day. It's day 3 and I have yet to hear from them. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because you have to chose atleast 1 star or you cannot give a review. read more

The front office and back office staff were wonderful! I am a retired RN and do not tell health care providers this info in order to be treated just like everyone else. The "Provider" came into the room and pronounce a diagnosis without ever examining me! Told me I had a virus and to just tough it out. Recommended me taking an over-the counter medication which increases blood pressure - surprised me since I have high blood pressure and have been told numerous times to only take this med as a last resort and only half a dose! The provider was very condescending when I asked questions. Never was there a mention of ability to work even though I had a conjunctivitis - which was the reason I went to the urgent care center instead of waiting for my Physician's office to open in the am. Just told I had a sinus infection and to tough it out. As I stated previously, the front and back staff were wonderful, caring and compassionate. Would not recommend due to Provider. read more
