I was so mad when I found out I had to come here for a Pre-Employment drug screen. As soon as you walk in you can tell people are already irritated from waiting. It's currently 12:29, and not a soul has been called back since I arrived @ 11:45. There's one other person who has been here an hour already waiting for a drug screen. She politely asked the front desk worker if she'd be seen by 12 due to personal reasons. The front desk worker gets an attitude with her and says, "I PROMISE YOU'LL BE SEEN BY 12." .....here it is 12:50 and she's still not been called back. She expressed pain from needing to use the restroom for her drug screen, and the lady at the front desk just did not care. (Later she says the patient has access to the bathroom, but when you're here for a drug screen you need a full bladder to do what's needed. If you use the restroom without knowing your standing in line it's useless.) The man with her just went up again, and asked about when they'd be seen, and this woman just got hateful again! I've been to the one in Burlington, NC and it's a total joke too. Urgent care? Yeah, there's nothing urgent about this dump. At most, drug screens take 5-10 min to do. This joint doesn't care at all about its patients, and any possible discomfort they may be feeling. I wish they'd just shut the doors on all of them cause this makes the second one I've been to that provides piss poor service. I also love the worn out pleather chairs. Lol, just found out they aren't accepting walk-ins unless it's for a drug screen. Everything else is appointment only, so why in the heck are we waiting for over an hour to pee in a cup?!?!?! This front desk woman is REALLY raising her voice at the patient that has been waiting for a drug screen for TWO HOURS. Caused a scene in the clinic and then starts trying to laugh and make light of her terrible behavior. The front desk lady claims there's only one nurse on staff, but the ill behavior is by no means needed. She is in a customer-oriented role. All she had to do was nicely explain the issue of being short staffed and apologize. She really did not have to go out of her way to yell at the patient. I'm absolutely disgusted by the behavior displayed here today. I surely will not be back for any personal needs. The front desk employee wasn't directly rude towards me, but she was nasty to those really nice patients who just wanted to know when they'd be seen, and caused a nasty scene inside the clinic. Disgusted with the service here is an understatement. I also noticed on "My Chart" they checked me in at 12:45 or set my "appointment" for that time. I'm assuming to make it look like I've not been waiting since 11:45... TWO HOURS AGO. Was finally seen after waiting for over 2 hours. When going to the back for my drug screen I was greeted by a guy named Justin. At first he was really nice then he began asking me what time I arrived at the clinic. I told him 11:45. He said, "Why did you come 15 min before your test expired???" I said, "Well, I've been other places for a drug screen and it's not taken them but 5-10 min to call me back and collect the sample." He smarted off and said when he went to Labcorp he had to wait there too. When I worked as a phlebotomist all we did was call and request and extension on a drug screen and left it at that. I came HOURS before they closed at 8pm and they told me they had "no more appointment times" for a JOB drug screening that takes 5 minutes total, and this is a WALK IN CLINIC.. No appointments.. I kind of love this place. I had the best urgent care experience here today. I was sick as a dog and not interested in anything but being seen, getting medication and going home to post up on my couch. I looked up Fast Med's info online and made a Zip Pass appointment too be seen first thing. My wait was minimal and the only thing that held me up was filling out the paper work, because it was my first time there. And it won't be my last (if I'm ill). Something I thought was cool: you don't have insurance, you can pay $134 for a Program where most of your visits will be just $99. The waiting room was wide open, spacious and clean. A few TVs were playing a Disney movie and it was really a nice atmosphere. Three hours of waiting in a lobby on a Tuesday afternoon. Still waiting. Apparently I could have made an appointment online, in advance. I found this out after making an inquiry with the friendly and polite reception. I am so frustrated and disappointed since if I had known it would have been three hours, for a wait..i would have booked online. So, Thursday morning...got there first! I filled all my info out easily via the tablets they have. Peed in a cup while they finished processing my paperwork. Got back almost immediately, nurse that took my vitals etc was great (they were all very friendly and very personable). Sent in the PA or Dr...and she was also very friendly. She asked all the right questions and then felt all down my back trying to find the seized up muscle. Love that the prescription is sent electronically to the location you want to pick it up at! This company did not check as requested for insurance billing. My insurance sent check to me to which I never got as well never knew there was more to pay other than co payment. They reported me to this KLS company who then reported me to the credit bureau. I paid out of pocket to them ! I have no collections on my report until I wen to this fast med...never again ..be careful they are shading in this sense. I later contacted my INS comp who said check for remainder payment ( which I did don't know there was any) went to wrong address point is Fast med should have done a better job at informing me. This is the worst care I have ever received. There is clearly a lack of training in HIPAA compliance, patient safety and respect for patients. Evidently these practices extend beyond the clinic upwards through patient experience. 1. I was checked in and asked by the guest service specialist (with the trainer beside her) about my complaint while there was another patient and her family members discharging beside me - to the point where I was uncomfortable telling her what I needed to be seen for. 2. While I was waiting in the lobby, a CMA (Im assuming) came out and sat in a chair across from me, without a name badge on and began asking me about my complaint, prior medical history and other Personal Health Information while there were other patients in the lobby. 3. When I was roomed and vitals were taken, there was no hand washing or as the picture says "Foaming In and Foaming Out" by the Unknown CMA or provider. 4. When I spoke to the provider, I don't feel I was given a proper exam because it was time for them to close - his first words when entering the room was "You're my last one for the night, what's going on". He then advised me to take some pain meds and come back in a week and I was good to go. 5. I walked out to the lobby where I had seen previous patients discharge and given the opportunity to complete a brief survey about their visit. The guest service specialists could be seen in the back gathering their belongs to go home for the day. 6. I walked out without being offered the opportunity to provide feedback on my visit or discharge papers with care instructions. 7. In the days following my visit I have called corporate to express my concerns about operations here and care delivery only to get a voicemail each time I called. I have left several messages and have yet to receive a call back. Hopefully this will prompt someone to contact me before reaching out to the Joint Commission. My FastMed Experience I had to take my son for a neck injury he got at school, I am most familiar with the University Pkwy FastMed in Winston Salem NC , so we went to that one. As soon as we entered the building I was made to wait 5 mins at the check in desk because the employee was on a personal call. She apologized and then burst into tears because of the situation on the phone and had to leave the desk. No one else checked us in, maybe because they did not know how? I am not sure, but we had to wait for her to return. She returned quickly, apologized and in a still upset state proceeded to check us in. Another employee came and interrupted her talking about next weeks schedule? Once they were done, we where finally checked in, that took 30 minutes and we where the only people in there! When we finally made it in the room, the PA suggested x-rays and pain meds. for my son's injury. She plan to give the pain med. when the x-ray results came back??? We waited in the room 20 more minutes for someone to take him to x-ray, only to find out the machine had not been used yet that day and was not working (at 6pm in the evening)? Don't most urgent care's warm-up the machine in the morning?Well long story short, they sent us out the door to go to another FastMed 25 mins. across town, without giving my son any pain meds! He was in pain, but she could not address that before we went out the door? After we had been there a hour and a half? We went to FastMed on Stafford Rd. waited in the waiting room again, once we got to the back, they took him right to x-ray and the nurse prac. there was wonderful Great staff and care on Strafford Rd! We were there less time then at the other faculty were he did not get any care! I am not uncompassionate to what the staff member was dealing with. I just think a lot of time was devoted to her situation, that pulled away from her job and pulled away from my child getting the care he deserved. I had a reaction to a antibiotic and needed to have a new one prescribed. The problem was that I was 12 hours away from North Carolina in another state and the prescription could not be written for a state in which he was not licensed (he was licensed in North Carolina, but not New York). He (Chuck Cook @ FastMed Urgent Care) sent the prescription to my local pharmacy in North Carolina, and then called them to have the prescription transferred to the pharmacy in New York (which they are not required to do). I am very grateful to Chuck and his efforts on my behalf. I have had to receive services from this location on three occasions (two with Chuck) and have been very satisfied all three times!!!! read more

I love my folks but you have to have some diversity to break up the slack Gene that is inside of some African Americans. Because the receptionist and all her side kicks thought it was cool that patients are waiting. With the classic "I can't do nothing my system is down" girl if y'all do not find another profession because healthcare is not it.
