The Father and son duo at Sun Cap run a clean and professional shop and their work is top flight. They explained what they were gonna do to my vehicle and why. By 2/5/25, the film was already lifting. I contacted the business with photos and followed up multiple times. The owner acknowledged poor installation and delays began. We tried for months to schedule repairs. After repeated reschedules, the truck was finally dropped off on 7/10/25 and picked up on 8/2/25. At pickup, the owner admitted he used SunTek film, not XPEL, and claimed to be an authorized SunTek installer. The next day, our Ford service advisor noted the film was again peeling, and that two different brands/colors had been used. The top left bed rail was also damaged. I contacted XPEL and SunTek on 8/5/25--Sun Cap Auto Tint is not an authorized installer for either brand. I sent the owner photos and requested a full refund and reimbursement for the cost of professional removal, paint correction, and reinstallation with the proper film. We were misled from the beginning--wrong product, poor quality, delays, and permanent damage to our vehicle. We trusted this shop with a brand-new 100K truck, and instead received dishonest service, subpar workmanship, and additional costs. I have incurred additional expenses now for the removal and preparation costs required before replacement PPF can be installed by a reputable certified professional. I have since learned that PPF film must be installed in a "clean room" to prevent particles from becoming trapped beneath the surface. There is no clean room at this business used for PPF installation. The owner did not act in good faith or with integrity. Do not recommend - don't walk, run from this place!
