We made a reservation for 10 people and a baby who needs a high chair at 7pm. When we got there they had been seating larger groups with no reservations. When it was our turn we told them the name for the reservation they had told us that they had no seating and we had to be seated at a high top. Which didn't work for us because we had younger kids with and a baby who needed a high chair. read more

We were there for dinner and no one else was there Should have known that was not a good sign. We ordered the fried chicken . It was deep fried is a fishy tasting grease . You get what you pay for here. The food is super cheap and there is a reason why. Sirloin steak (asked for medium) was well done and very chewy. Steamed vegetables tasted like they were microwaved and thrown into a dish. Broasted chicken somehow had zero flavor. Onion pedals were all breading. Several pieces had no onions at all. Best thing I had was the Texas Toast which is your typical Texas toast you go buy a grocery store and throw in your own oven. read more

I come here quite often, especially with customers and external employees who are in town. It's convenient since it is so close to the Hampton Inn. The food is not great, but is consistent. They have a very good beer selection for the area. Service is the downfall. The waitstaff is spotty-you never know what you'll get. The bar tenders are just poor. Very inattentive. Fat Daddy's is great! I always have a wonderful time here! There's an awesome amount of space, and a dance floor!!!! The drinks are always great. It's a great place to just hang out with friends. I haven't had too many sleezy experiences. It's the total opposite of a bar where you feel claustrophobic because you're pressed up against sweaty strangers. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the staff isn't that friendly most of the time. I was there last Friday and my table's server was fantastic! He was really friendly and helpful. Also, the doorman was really nice. But everyone else who was working there was awful. It was as if, since they didn't have to serve our table, they didn't need to talk to us, or even smile at us. I am giving a 1 just because I can't put 0. I was there on 2-1-2020. I ordered a steak and could only take 2 bites, it tasted rotten. We called the manager on Monday to explain and raise awareness so someone else doesn't get sick and he said, "we serve a lot of steaks, what do you want me to do" we wanted to hear they would check into it or check the meat. We hope this does not happen to someone else. I am 24 weeks pregnant and ended up in the hospital getting 2 bags of IV fluids, food poisoning, and lost 6 pounds from this. This is the worst restaurant in the city of Alexandria. That is really saying something too. Most of the restaurants in this town range from bad to decent and I can confidently say this is definitely the worst one in town. The food is pretty cheap but it is terrible. Your better off going to qudoba down the road. I ordered wings and the food took 3 hours to cook and when it finally it came out it was freezing cold and soggy. When I first moved to Alexandria, Fat Daddy's used to have a way better menu to choose from and their Sunday morning buffets and Friday night pasta bars used to be something to brag about. The wait staff used to be great now... not so much. As a "GRILL." It's totally gone downhill. Really just stopped going out to eat their. Particularly after one waitress ""If that's what you even wanna call her."" Rude as hell the multiple times we have had the displeasure of having her. But the bar is great so Fatdaddys has that going for themselves. Maybe they should just stop calling it "Fatdaddy's bar and Grill." And just make it a "Fat Daddy's Sports bar." We went there today to celebrate a birthday. There were 8 of us so we had to sit at different tables (only 6 max at a table) - that was ok, we understood. We ordered appetizers for each table. Over 45 minutes later we still did not have our food. Yet many other people had come in - after we ordered - gotten their food, eaten and left. Our waitress did not even come over to check on us. Some were out of their drinks and others did not even have a drink. We ended up leaving without eating and went to another place in town. We will NOT be going back here again. read more

It seems like it could be a fun place to hang out but it needs work. First it has a sports bar type feel but they have pretty small tvs. I had a wrap sandwich and was underwhelmed. Just nothing to it. I think they were supposed to put ranch on it but used mayo instead. The worst and most concerning thing to me was the service. The sign said seat yourself so I sat a table near the corner of the bar. I saw that the bartender noticed me pretty quick after I sat down but just went about his business. I then saw a server look at me but went to do something else. There were about four other booths and tables that had people but they seemed to have already finished eating. The bar was about 1/4 full at the most. There were at least two servers working and at least one bartender. Well, anyway, the bartender and the server both looked at me several times but neither verbally welcomed me or even stopped to say someone would be right with me. It was getting uncomfortably funny. It was like they were willing me to leave. Finally the server who had looked over at me at least 3 times realized I must have been hungry so she came to my table and asked if I'd like something to drink. My food came pretty quick. I would hope so since it must have been the only order the cook had to prepare. The server stopped back when I was nearly done with everything. It was ok. I just needed the check to get me outta there. It might be fun to go there with a bunch of people to talk because you know you won't be interrupted by someone asking if you need anything. Should have walked a little farther to the Pike and Pint! Service was suspect, waited for a tap beer for 5 minutes. When it was empty I sat again for 5 minutes waiting to be asked if I wanted another.....They never asked if I wanted to eat so I asked for a menu. I ordered garlic cheese bread.....GARLIC CHEESE BREAD! My 7 year old can make it. I waited 20 minutes and they brought it burnt, bartender set it down and walked away quick like I wouldn't notice. This place looks good and has a clean bar area but the problem started with our waitress that was quiet and was afraid to come to our table. After we ordered and got our food we all were disappointed. The walleye had more bones then normal, the sirloin was not fresh as it tasted like it was frozen, burger had a rotten after taste and the fries were burnt. Went there for a couple beers I got a bottle and my friend got a tap beer and after she finished her tap beer she got a weird foriegn object in her mouth and spit it out and it was on the rim of the glass and bartender came over asking if we wanted more she showed him it and asked what is that he said I threw it away for and acted like no big deal! read more
