Don't stop here if you're trying to get gas for whatever the advertise price is it is a lot more expensive by about $.50 the price is shown on their billboard is for the E 85 fuel not 87 through 91 octane which is about 50 to 60+ cents more a gallon Overall it's a pretty cool place inside. It's a typical nice truck stop but don't stop here for fuel like I did and be let down by the prices especially whenever you can go across the street and buy it for $.30 cheaper a gallon. read more

GO TO PUMP 7 OR 8 AND USE THE BLUE HANDLE. If your car takes regular gas, you can get a great deal on 87 octane gas ($2.68) at either pump 7 or 8 from the blue handle. But if you accidentally press 87.5 octane gas ($3.28), or your car needs higher octane gas, go somewhere else because it's expensive. They're running a scummy trick at this gas station by advertising a low price on a big sign visible on the highway, but then serving that gas on only 2 out of the 8 pumps from where the diesel handle would usually be. But now that I know their trick, I will make sure to stop here every time I'm crossing by! Can't beat the $2.68 a gallon! USE THE BLUE HANDLE!!! read more

Scammers. Giant sign readable from the freeway read $2.99 advertising gas for $2.99/gallon. That's about $0.05/gallon cheaper than the surrounding area stores. When we arrived we fueled up with regular (the cheapest gas). Reading the receipt I saw the gas was actually $3.39/gallon, which is about $0.35/gallon more. Advertised as the cheapest gas, it's definitely the highest priced gas anywhere in the area. Gonna check with the state and see if there's a law against advertising gas for one price (only one price was advertised) and charging much higher. I'll never visit a Fat Dogs gas station again. read more

Classic bait and switch. The big sign said $1.99 gas cash or credit. The pump said $2.35/gallon. I had two kids in the car and needed to get on my way, so I sucked it up and paid. I asked the clerk, he said that price is only available on pumps 7 and 8. Scummy. Really scummy business practice. The sign also said "clean bathrooms". Also a bait and switch. Smeared seats, dirty. On the plus side, the bathrooms are probably Covid safe, because I can't imagine anyone lingering in these disgusting bathrooms or touching anything. What an interesting gas station. Cheaper gas than others nearby but only available at two of the pumps. They gloat about their cashiers which the one man we met was super nice especially to our baby. Then they brag about clean restrooms but tbh I have seen better. Hey at least they have a diaper changing station at in the women's restroom and those accelerator hand dryers. I love that is "fat dogs" and their mascot is super cute but I think it's gulf gas. I was hankering for a chocolate eclair or strawberry shortcake popsicle but non were to found, in fact the ice cream selection was a bit sad. Like a few drumsticks, an unidentifiable "squeeze" pop and dust. It actually reminded me of a bottom of bird cage. The "you are no where" is humorous yet accurate. read more

I needed gas on the way back to Omaha, so I pulled off I-80 only to be enticed by the flashy sign of Fat Dog's. Once I pulled into the dingy parking lot I found the small convenience store closed (it was a little before midnight). Being tucked next to the parking lot of a sketchy motel didn't help things out either. Don't fall for the hype, keep heading south another half mile or so until you see Bosselman Truck Stop. read more

On our way home from Denver I needed fuel I seen a sign from the road that had an excellent price on fuel. So I pulled into Fat Dogs only to find out that there is one hidden pump with that fuel. No signage. It's a complete guessing game in how to achieve the special fuel price. Filled up asked the clerk for the price that was on the highway sign she told me they offer that price on one of their many pumps. The Clark was rude and told me to learn to read signs. I would recommend spending your money on a company that won't bait and switch you. To top it all off I don't need to be treated like a kid when I asked for the advertised price on fuel. read more

This was a horrible experience to kick off my honeymoon trip. They advertised $3.19 gas on the highway and only had two pumps that offered it. To make things worse the pump wouldn't except my card so I had to prepay inside. When I returned to the pump it wouldn't give me gas and wouldn't acknowledge my prepay. I asked the employees what was wrong and their excuse was their system had made an error and I had to pay another $50 to get gas and I'd be refunded my first $50 in 3-5 business days. On my honeymoon I've lost money because some gas station employee can't operate their machines. I've contacted the CEO and am working on fixing my situation but I will NEVER AGAIN stop at these gas stations. Update: Three days after all of this was "fixed" and taken care of they force charged my card that money. I'm not filing a dispute to get my money back. read more

Stopped at Fat Dogs in Lexington NE for gas..advertised BIG sign said $2.07..went to 5th pump..when we paid it was $2.37/gallon!!!...We we're stunned to say least..the lady inside said that only certain pumps we're $2.07..WHAT A SCAM!! The signs outside that advertised $2.07 had in VERY SMALL PRINT that only certain pumps were $2.07This should be illegal..Am going to take this further & hopefully get this asanine practice halted soon. read more
