The out right negligence that the has been exhibited towards my children has been a outright disservice to them. If you have a choice do not send them to this school. Previous IEP records were presented and not read, IEP procedures took almost an entire school year to be put into place despite my request for evaluations at the very beginning of the school year. After moving to another school district it was presented to me that my son was in need of and eligible other services that were not being given to him at Piney Point. This administrator has also not been compliant with our new school's efforts to obtain paperwork and refuses to talk with professionals from the new school who genuinely seem willing to help my children. If you have a choice just don't. I truly wish I had not.

St…read more Mary's College of Maryland holds their annual Mulberry festival which was the vision of President Tuajuanda C. Jordan, every year on the eve of Juneteenth, the day (June 19th) commemorating the emancipation of all enslaved in the United States. Originally created in 2019, the inaugural Mulberry Music Festival featured a gospel theme and featured chart-topping recording artist Jason Nelson. I had no idea and love he's right here in MD leading his congregation. Some of Southern Maryland's favorite food vendors were on site for the festival and it was fun looking at what they had to offer (see pics) Some added mulberry infused treats like mulberry freeze dried candy, mulberry lemonade and mulberry cocktails to their menus. Icy Bites served Italian ice that was prefect for the heat. Calvert Crabs served a mulberry cocktail and you were able to add the Mulberry syrup to your drink of choice. Menu for Heidi's Eats & Sage Treats featured some Korean favorite dishes as well as BBQ bowls. Cousins Maine Lobster Truck was on the building and I was surprised up see them. I did to to them because I'm sure I would have purchased and it wouldn't have been cheap lol. Dumpstaphunk closed out the trio of bands and were great. My cousin heard they were coming to little old St. Mary's county and couldn't believe it. He made us go and we truly enjoyed ourselves dancing the evening away.

First thing was... No paella pan! Really? Apparently it went on vacation with the Chef. Shame on her. If you have a class coming for paella, you get another paella pan. These classes are not inexpensive. As far as authenticity went, the chef went off script on several different steps we were looking for authentic and we got impromptu. I felt very bad for the Chef who was doing the demo. He was really trying to do a great job considering the circumstances. I do not hold him accountable. Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price…read more I was really looking forward to the Asian Dumplings Cooking Class, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The class started over 30 minutes late and ran long, which caused me to be late for my next commitment. More importantly, it wasn't truly a cooking class; it was a demonstration. Most of us simply watched, while a few lucky participants were invited to roll and seal one dumpling each. There was no hands-on learning, no guidance, and no opportunity to build skills. To make matters worse, I was seated near the back, where I couldn't see the main table well. The viewing monitor wasn't zoomed in enough to be helpful, and loud conversations around me made it hard to hear the instructor. Reserved seating was allowed, so although I arrived early, I was unable to sit in several empty front-row seats because they were being held for friends who arrived much later. The food itself was underwhelming and bland, lacking in authentic flavor, and not worth the wait. Two of the dumpling varieties used store-bought wrappers, and portions were small. The sauces were forgettable, and the pace of serving was slow, leaving us with lots of waiting and very little to enjoy. We weren't even given recipes to take home, which, after tasting the food, I wasn't too disappointed about. At $100 per ticket, I expected an interactive, educational experience with quality food and better organization. Unfortunately, I left without learning any new skills, still hungry, and feeling like I wasted both time and money. I would not recommend this class. On a good note the staff were very friendly and accommodating, but I won't be back.

I persuaded him to stop at…read moreAnnmarie Gardens so I could check out the sculpture garden, which has been on my list for a while. It was a nice day. There is a welcome hut where they give out maps and collect the suggested $5 donation. We walked some of the woods to view some of the sculptures. Several were very attractive and other pieces were not as striking. There is a fairy garden type play area where a number of kids were running around. We walked through the main arts building. We saw some exhibits and the gift shop. On the whole, it was smaller than I expected, but we did not walk all of the paths. I'm glad we took a look. I would be interested in returning when they have a festival or for the holiday lights.
