I'm very disappointed to be writing this. I visited this location regularly (The College Station location on Texas Ave.)--about three times a week--because it is close to my home. Last night, an employee informed me that I was no longer allowed to come to this location. This decision appears to stem from a personal issue unrelated to the business. The employee has shown ongoing hostility toward me because she once dated a family member who now lives in my home. I have never been rude, disruptive, or disrespectful during any visit, yet her behavior has escalated to the point of banning me from the store. I was told the new manager, Brandon, approved this. It is troubling that an employee is permitted to use her position to act on personal grudges rather than professionalism. As a loyal customer, I expected better. Do not come here!!! So I bought this product after leaving the product started clogging really bad and wouldn't work so I tried to unclog when I did that it was wasting the "3 grams" this Product comes with, I decided to charge it fully and see if it would work then and it doesn't I had called for 3-4 days and no answer so finally when I get my car back in shop I decided to drive up there and see if they can fix the issue, they have this "24 hour policy" but yet don't have a phone to communicate with their customers about this. I was extremely dissatisfied with my shopping experience. I was unhappy with my purchase and despite the fact I didn't open the package or leave the parking lot they refused to refund or even offer store credit. I was gone three minutes. Obviously I should have not trusted that I wasn't getting screwed but I've shopped at Fattys for awhile and I wasn't on my guard. My bad. For some time I have been extremely irritated with Fatty's and so I'm going to do what everyone else does when they're upset with a company and write a bad review. I used to come here all the time not knowing that It was extremely overpriced, then a friend showed me a better alternative in College Station-- Wild Side Smoke Shop. Here are some things I really dislike about Fatty's: 1.) They never ever EVER answer their phone. I started calling ahead because I'd drive across town to realize they were out of a product, but after the 10th time of me calling over time (and a friend assuring me they never do either), I stopped calling. If they don't answer the phone, JUST DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE LINE AND STOP WASTING PEOPLE'S PRECIOUS TIME. 2.) They could not care less about the customers who enter their store, I went in there yesterday and asked the guy a question directly to his face and he walked away. (By the way the question was, "do you have any deals?") 3.) They're extremely overpriced and never offer any sort of promotions and if they do, it's half priced bongs that are still over $150. 4.) They always seem high and giggle with one another while working, I guess I could give them the benefit of the doubt and just say the workers are crappy, apathetic people. My suggestion is go to Wild Side in College Station, they're excellent with customer service and I almost never pay full price because they have the Perka app which offers discounts and rewards points. read more

I went in to look at Mods. the 2 had little to no knowledge of their products or mods in general. VERY expensive. I inquired about one in particular. They are selling it for $130. I pulled up the exact same mod on my phone for $30 and showed the saleman. His comment was along the line of 'oh well' and walked away to help someone else in disgust. Additionally, the mod didn't come with a battery or anything else you need (which is common) BUT...they don't even sell the additional items required! He actually wanted me to buy his product at the extreme mark-up and then was referring me to his competitor (Aggieland) down the road to purchase everything else I need. What a joke. The owner (Indian lady) seems very sweet (and quite lovely) should consider staffing some that have more of an interest in the product and have more salesmanship skills than to simply walk away. Every time I go in here, the employees are high, do not pay attention to the customers, and just make jokes with each other. More often than not, I will ask a question and I will receive no reply or they will not answer my question. They have the highest prices in town for glass, e juice, and mods. Wild Side Smoke Shop is a way better choice, they are cheaper and they provide personalized assistance and answer ALL questions asked. Fatty's in College Station is the worst shop that I have ever been to. read more

My initial visit was somewhat pleasant when I dropped in to take in their selection of Vaporizers. The next day I arrived a little after 9 AM (their advertised opening time) and they were closed. I ran errands and stopped back by two more times before 10:00 AM and they were still closed. I called the Bryan store to see if they had the Vaporizer I needed; they didn't. Eventually I stopped back by this store later in the day and made my purchase. They don't accept AMEX so I had to go next door to Walgreen's and get a couple hundred dollars cash and return. I was not given a receipt. They don't have a modern register- just the old school type that basically just added up all the numbers on paper tape- no transaction records or anything. I stopped by tonight to get a receipt and worker "A.J" advised me that "Because it was so long ago" he couldn't go back and print a receipt- it was earlier today. I asked if I could call back and speak with the manager about the receipt issue and suggested and I should be comped for my wait time this morning for a few $7 disposable ecig tanks- considering that I did spend $300 in the store today. A.J. said he could not give out manager/owner contact information. I was dumbfounded- how can you not give out the store manager's name? A.J. seemed to quite inexperienced and like he was trying to BS me. The guy earlier in the day that sold me my Vaporizer was a lot more helpful even though he was 1 1/2 hours late. I don't know about this place. They have nice things- but I still paid $159 for a iTaste VTR that I can find online for $79 to $99. I'm going to check out the other smoke shops in town. The shady receipt system was enough to turn me off. I have lived in several cities and enjoy checking out various smoke/cigar shops. I received excellent service from the store employees, but the price of their cigars is too high per stick. The two cigars I picked up were even priced higher than the MSRP from the manufacturers' websites. In addition, I was looking to purchase a butane lighter and that was higher than I have seen it at other stores (albeit online stores, but a few days for delivery are worth the cost savings). A previous review said that this is the most expensive head shop in a college town, but this is one of the most expensive cigar shops (when considering the brand of cigar) I have ever been in. If you are looking for a good selection of pipes, this place will fit the bill. If you are looking for reasonably priced cigars, you are better off looking elsewhere in College Station. read more

Wow, Called 9/7/2013 around 1:30 to ask about the availability of a product once the salesman confirmed they had it, I inquired about price and he basically yelled about not pricing over the phone, I told him another local shop instantly priced it at 10 and was curious if they'd match, he told me they weren't said store and hung up. Honestly the other reviews are right way over priced, there's a much more established smoke shop down the road in Bryan that will hands down have better prices and service, not to the mention Fatty's sales knock-off products at full retail, this place has lost my business forever. read more
