I called to get a subscription setup for an individual in a correctional center. The staff was extremely helpful, and we set up the subscription without difficulty. Later, a couple of issues were not received. I called The Times, and was told that initially they hand-mailed each issue, until recently, when they turned it over to the USPS. I told them I planned to call the correctional center but had wanted to check with the correctional institution first. They told me that if there was any problem they would be happy to handle it by hand again. I thought this was exceptional. I called the correctional institution, they acknowledged receipt of the papers but I was unable to confirm if they were issues delivered by the USPS or not. I later spoke with the recipient, who had now received the issues, and determined they were delivered by the USPS. I followed up with The Times to let them know that the new method was working. They again let me know that if there was any problem, to give them a call, and they would do whatever they could to help. I felt that they provided above average customer service and were more than willing to help. read more
