Two yrs ago I had picked this place, not knowingly if it's good or bad. I needed a new dentist and it's about time I got my nerves together for my wisdom teeth to be pulled out. To my surprise everything went perfectly well as how I thought it should be. I met awesome Dr. Blake, got my two wisdom teeth out right on the first day, met his wife(as wonderful as him)who cut the stitches out the following week, I love this family who works together as a team and knowing how to treat their patients well. Dr. Blake Favero and Dr. Favero (his wife) are a true family dentistry! I highly recommend for all ages. They are very helpful, clean, personable and are overall great people! They truly want to help you and your family. I lived and worked in this area for the past 1.5 years and had only been to my family dentist back in Michigan so when I had to find a new dentist I was completely unsure of where to go. I initially went to a "business" dentist who tried to convince me that I had eight cavities to make money off of my insurance. I had never had a cavity in my life, I left that dentist in tears. After going to the "business" dentist my co-worker told me about Dr. Blake and Dr. Favero. I went to the Favero's to get a second opinion and they not only gave great service, he informed me that my so called "cavities" were coffee and wine stains. I've been going to them ever since! This is a horrible dentist office and very unprofessional. We are a Black family who wanted to patronize the small business in our area. I have Top of the Line insurance with Cigna. I went once/twice last year in August. When it came time for myself and my son's dental cleaning today, my son arrived at 3:00 pm only to be told that we were out of network with the office (Cigna Advantage out of network, top of the line) and they now use (Cigna Total(?). I was so livid, because they had been texting me since Feb 9th last week, enough time to at least secure another appointment with an alternative dentist in my area, in my network. The receptionist stated that she has 1000's of files and that she checks the insurance 2 days before the procedure, but yet and still they had been reaching out for an entire week with text messages since Feb 9th. Why tell a patient 2 days before, on Valentines Day 2/14/22, they are no longer in the network! They wanted to charge $169+ for me and my son this 02/16/22 visit, and to see if we would follow through with the service, because you can't go anywhere else. Finally, the receptionist said, "It's not "You", it's "Us", which sounds like a bad break up moment to me. She then said, "If I were you, I would not pay it, I would go some where else in network." How horrible, the most they could have done and stated is, "Let us offer you a small discount, since this is at the last minute and you did not know, that way you can get your dental records and secure an in network dentist for your next appointment." Especially considering that it's "Them" not "Us"! Because they made the changes. I would think that if a company makes changes, does it not bring up all the patients, in the system, who would fall out of network, so that the office can mail a letter, give a call or at least text them. But calling a patient 2 days before to tell them otherwise, is just SHADY! I reported them to Cigna immediately, I told them that I felt discriminated against and that this company was very unprofessional with such actions. Then again, I noticed that all the 5 star comments on YELP are from people that are not Black. Never mind about our race, this is definitely about an unprofessional moment in that office, the day of service, ANYONE would be disappointed to know that their insurance is no longer accepted 2 days before the service, especially if the company had been reaching out to them via text for a week. That is why I told Cigna about this moment. My insurance is HIGHER than what they currently accept now. Forget feeling discriminated against, especially with a statement like "If I were you I would go somewhere else!" This is a full on money grab! I'm so disgusted, especially, since it's "Them" and NOT "Us," whatever that means! read more

I just finished a full year under the care of Drs Blake and K, and Angela. While I miss Dr. Brown, I feel like my oral care has not skipped a beat since he retired. If anything it has gotten better! Angela does an amazingly thorough job with the cleanings! She takes her time and uses what seems to be an ultrasonic pick to clean off the stains and plaque that accumulated over the last six months. She also took the time to give recommendations on what I should do to reduce the daily build up. Probably b/c of the awesome cleaning I got last time, I am relieved and happy to share that there were no new cavities today! Six months ago, though, a cavity was found at my cleaning. Timing worked out perfectly as Dr. Blake was available to get it filled right then, saving me from having to take off of work to come back. Dr. Blake was very efficient, made it a painless experience and was very proficient as I have not had any issues with that filling these past six months.
