A great karate club for kids of all ages, great instructors and in Chartham village hall which is…read morereally nice and gives you somewhere comfortable to sit while they do their thing. As the club has got bigger and they've split the classes up now which is nice, the bigger kids are separated from the little ones which is better for both. There are competitions in Canterbury now (instead of Folkestone where they used to be), which is a nicer hall and a lot closer, and the kids really enjoy going to them too!

Decathlon is the best sports shop there is both for value for money and range of stock…read more You won't believe the amount of stuff in there and we can easliy spend a couple of hours just browsing. They sell everything from football stuff to hunting, shooting and fishing. During the winter months they have a cheap and extensive range of ski wear and ski equipment and you can kit out the whole family easily. In the summer this changes to beach stuff and hiking gear such as boots, trousers and jackets. If you can't find what you need here it probably doesn't exist.

For things like this, I don't want to go all out and get everything just yet as I don't know if I will like it, however I still want to be safe. Instead of going to speciailty stores, I can come here to get the basics and then as I learn more about what I need and want, can get more advanced kit as I develop.

Went here for training and achieved to my full potential. I would recommended this Kung Fu training…read moreschool to all boys and girls starting from age 5 up because they are most likely to understand what Kung Fu is all about. As an instructor Alex is very polite at all times and he is a person that will understand everyone who he is working with, he is also calm and protective to anyone close by. My views on this Kung Fu school in Gillingham whilst I was with them is that the whole training school is the best Kung Fu school that you will ever find, another thing is that Alex never gives up and he is always determined to teach anybody some fun creative moves that will teach a child discipline and will help younger kids how to look after themselves in their future.

As an instructor he is very helpful and friendly and I truly couldn't fault him. I loved my time at this Gym…read more The staff are so friendly and helpful and the facilities are great too! The building itself doesn't much look like it's a gym from the outside (I was living in Rainham for 4 years before I actually knew what it was! I thought it was part of the peoples home next door. Oh dear). It's a lovely old grade 2 listed building, think I was told it was 300 or so years old. But inside is nice and nicely air conditioned throughout. It's not your typical gym where everything is all in one room and you feel like you're being watched by everyone around you. It is over 2 floors and has numerous rooms all with separated equipment so if you're uncomfortable about being seen working out by others it's easy find a quiet room where you can go about your exercise without interruption. Changing rooms are nice and clean with sun showers which you need to book in to use but they're almost alway's available when you want them . The spa, sauna and steam room are also located downstairs which had a refit just before I left this gym (through emigrating, not anything against them) which unfortunately opened the week I left. urrghh. So I didn't get to see it but I heard it is great. The Trainers here are so friendly and as part of membership (if you choose to) you get regular meetings where you'll get weighed, measured and discuss any training concerns you might have which is really helpful if you have specific goals as they're all about helping you reach them. You can also get one on one Personal Training sessions for a small extra charge (I think £25 but are well worth it). A couple of classes are also available to take part in which you need to book in advance. While I was a member it was just Circuit Training and Leg's, Bum's and Tum's but was talk of other's. They also have a qualified beauty team on hand for the usual waxing, facials, manicure, pedicure, massage ect. Excellent for a bit of pampering after a hard workout. I enjoyed this gym so much that with the encouragement of the team I qualified as a Fitness Instructor myself - and took the course with them. Way better than any of the other bigger named gym's in the area.

There is an upper level area which holds the classes, but I have to say it's quite a grimey gym. It has a bit of a bad smell to it, and the upper level literally holds all of the classes.
