They have been in the business for what has to be close to 20 years now (I think it was established 2002). They have a fantastic facility (as it's not the same building as the review from like 2012 referred to). It is smaller that a mega warehouse but I enjoyed the size because I could see all the games and trainings from one location. What I thought was so funny were the reviews that listed all the issues. I feel like I could still fix these issues even though it's been years since I've been on that POS (pt of sale) system. Most of those are without a doubt front desk staff errors that occur when 50 families come in to get and pay for a player card for 18 hours straight. Not justifying, agreeing that there are minor kinks to work out but hoping you have some understanding that new employees are hired just so the kids can play, which is GRREAT and how it should be. The system (software not business) could be much easier to navigate and assign payments, refunds, and the like. But I know they solved every issue that came up while I was there with payments, double charges and the like! The kids I coached all loved playing there I had teams 5-18 years old enjoy it. Adult league is competitive, I agree with those who are worried about injuries as I have had my fair share and then some from individual challenges with certain players. I'll be honest my mistakes are forgetting my height and weight in coed when there are others 12-15" taller and in average at least 50+ pounds heavier than me and going into tackles like I'm their size. But I know it can be scary to think about an injury that might occur. The referees do get comfortable with their job. There needs to be a whole reset of the attitude of the players because when a ref does set the tone, 'everyone' complains (usually 75% of the regulars) about how they won't let them play. So it is an issue on both sides. I think they could really change the reffing and playing demeanor while coming back from the pandemic. I would say if you're comfortable having level headed conversations about what you felt unsafe with, the refs and owners do listen. I always talk to referees and try to do it calmly about some of the things I appreciated about their reffing and where I felt unsafe or if there was continuous unequal treatment of the teams. In general referees listen and will try to see what you saw, not when you leave a yelp review but actually advocate for the change! I've always seen the business work with complaints and try to change either how that situation was dealt with or how to change more dramatically. Overall this is a fantastic place run by soccer people who know business. Most other locations are not run by soccer people, and the knowledge of the game and feelings associated are shared by the owners and staff! Give it a chance, you might become a 18 year return player :)

The opposing team,…read moredespite being well ahead, played aggressively: shoving, yelling, and purposely fouling players. Several players weren't wearing shin guards, despite posted rules. A female player was hit hard in the head. She was visibly wobbly and holding her head, and although she said she was "OK," proper concussion protocol requires that any player with a head injury come out immediately. The game continued with no intervention, which was unsafe and unacceptable. I didn't have fun and regret spending my time here. I felt unsafe and unwelcome, and I will not be returning. Recreational sports should prioritize safety, enforce equipment rules, and ensure referees stop play when injuries occur.

At least now it doesn't look like a baseball field, there are lights, and the bathrooms are better. Buying tickets is a slow process, sticking out into the parking lot. The owners are real people running a locally owned business, and offering GREAT service to their customers! I have three boys and a girl aged 16 to 6. They are in gymnastics and are self-taught in Ninja obstacles. At first, the staff hesitated to allow my kids to try the advanced ninja obstacles (because it was our first time there), but communicated that clearly and considerately, while eventually giving them a chance to "prove themselves" under proper supervision. I appreciated their genuine concern for my kids' safety, while still being willing to cater to their desire to challenge themselves. My boys also appreciated the staff catering to them so they could enjoy the experience even more! The space is great for kids' parties, and we truly had a fun time once everything got going. Unfortunately, the experience with staff took away from what could have been a great event. Most of the staff we interacted with seemed unhappy to be there and came across as rude or dismissive. There were also issues with event coordination. The person in charge, Ali, got the party time wrong. even though it had been confirmed multiple times.. Zoe ended up stepping in to fix the situation, and she really went above and beyond. Since the party had effectively been scheduled an hour late, she had to make about 10 trips back and forth setting up tables and chairs to get the room ready in time. I genuinely appreciated her effort and willingness to jump in and help. When we went to the front desk to pay the remaining balance, the interaction was also off-putting. The staff member greeted us with a "what's up?" in a tone that felt more confrontational than welcoming. Overall, the facility has a lot of potential and is a great space, but the staff experience was disappointing enough that I wouldn't recommend hosting a party here until there are improvements in customer service and organization.

The club can't help it if a family does say they will play and commit to a team then back out at the last minute leaving a team sparse. We have joined stvrain because of the kids and parents. I literally will walk the 20 minutes to the field so I don't have to experience the stress and mess of that parking lot. Also, there are only a a couple labeled spots for those that are physically challenged with placard (as was the case with my parter today who recently had surgery). We weren't able to secure one of these special spots today unfortunately. There is a building that offers indoor real restrooms - awesome. For snacks there are often food trucks of different sorts. If you have a furry friend def check the website ahead of your visit to see if they are allowed. Wonderful open space to take in local sports, enjoy the local views and get some fresh air.

It has a nice parking area, but smaller than the other two. Still found a nice spot. Inside, the greeters were friendly and explained the layout. Again unlike the other two, North had a weight room separate from the weight machines. It was interesting to see a large area dedicated to dumbbells and barbell presses. The other, larger area had nice windows and the pulley machines. I found it a great place to workout and though it was Saturday, not too busy. They have a lot of machines. I do wish the weight room had some more ventilation. I'll be back soon and check out the pool!

It's been a long time since I visited the North Boulder Rec Center. It's fairly far from my house…read morebut they have a lot of nice programs. Decades ago my younger son took gymnastic classes there. My husband has used their pool for Scuba trip prep swims to test out their equipment. Also my kids and many of their friends had birthday party events there in the 80s. A friend of mine invited me to stop in and try out their fitness classes for seniors. The program is free to us, though most of the participants have some form of support from their medicare supplement policy (Silver Sneakers membership) and I assume that benefit supports the program financially. Nothing is ever "free" in the sense that it is just like being out in nature. There is a large building and many staff to support. All the staff we met in the process of signing up and get information on programs were very pleasant, efficient and supportive. The teacher of the class was a very positive and talented young woman who clearly understood her participants very well. The music was such fun. Some was the a similar play list to what I had in classes in the late 80s & early 90s, when I last took an indoor fitness program at other locations under the Jazzercize label. Many disco dance songs, new in that era, retro classics now. Also some pop songs of the 60s for some of us and cool down relaxing folk and ballads focus too. I was surprised yet pleased to hear Joan Baez "Diamonds and Rust" unique to a class like this I think. Parking is a bit complicated at the center, as the lot out front has very small spaces and is filled quite early in the day, but there is more room along the sides with slightly larger spaces and now that we know that, we will try there first next week.
