However, we recently learned a valuable lesson regarding their protocol on outside drinks. We coordinated a group to take a day off work and spend the afternoon at their facility. To make it worthwhile, we needed another player and managed to solidify a last-minute invite. The court was rented for 3 hours, and about 1.5 hours in, the extra invite pulled a drink out of his bag right in front of the staff. He was confronted and agreed to leave without any resistance, acknowledging that his actions were uncalled for. To me, it seemed like the situation was resolved as our group began organizing the next match. However, moments later, the staff decided to escalate the issue, stating that since the player who violated the facility rules was on our court, everyone in our group had to leave the premises. The staff member also blamed us for not policing our invitees according to their rules and regulations. No one in our group knew the player had the drink until he pulled it out, yet we were all penalized, and the rental cost for the court was kept. The only reason I am leaving this post is to make others aware of The Oasis's protocol for such situations. If you invite anyone to play on the court you rented, you will be held personally responsible for their actions against The Oasis's rules and regulations.

Now 2 days later the Owner calls our Gym due to this review on Google and gets our kid kicked off the team. What kind of human being gets a kid kicked off a team for their own employees actions. This is disgusting that any OWNER would do this to a child. So think twice about coming here. Lots of snottiness (an attitude that hasn't quite matured to full-blown arrogance) around the grounds. For the price, the limited amenities offered, and the silly attitudes, our money and our recommendation (not!) will go elsewhere.

We've been involved with the club for many years, and it is a great spot in Boulder. The pool is super nice and well maintained and the 20 or so tennis courts (including 2 clay courts and 3 indoor courts) are fantastic and well maintained. My only small complaint is that the restrooms/changing areas should be upgraded, and there should be a snack bar. But overall, a great swim and tennis club in Boulder.

On my walk down I passed some old and well kept green spaces of old campus areas. It was a brutally hot day in the 90s so walking this route was the easiest. Lot of lush green spaces this year since we have had such a wet summer. When the hotel gets open and I have a chance to try the eatery that will be open to the community as well as campus, I will give my full review. But this conference center hotel is something CU has been lacking for a long time. And it will be an asset when Sundance comes to Boulder in 2027!

As a youth athletic organization, it is the gyms responsibility and expectation to provide an…read moreenvironment that supports and protects their athletes. Prior to the abrupt decision to fire an amazing coach mid- season, 2 weeks before state, my son would come home saying the owners are so mean to the boys. Boys would get in trouble for eating and wearing shoes in the gym while the girls would not get in trouble. The girls would steal mats without asking and run across the vault runway while they were training, to name a few. But, somehow the boys were always at fault. The coaches produced the best boys team in the state over the last couple years and they were never recognized. My son says the trophies and banners they won were put in a corner to collect dust And not showcased. Following the dismissal of the boys head coach and the loss of the other who didn't agree, the high level athletes were not given a safe transition to train there nor did they participate in finding a safe alternative elsewhere. This has forced some to quit and others scrambling to find a place to train til the end of season at the least. The owners did not want to discuss what had happened nor did they apologize for the emotional harm they have caused to my child and our family nor the 20+ others that trusted the gym to advocate for the kids. i have never interacted with the owners for our short time there. I was rarely spectating either. However when i went to pick up my son's belongings, I was being harassed for trespassing and that they were going to call the cops. All I wanted was what belonged to my son, but they threw what was in my Sons locker and all the others boys belongings in a box. It's pretty difficult to distinguish who's was what. Frustrated I left with nothing, worried I'd be accused of stealing Or worse. I would avoid this gym at all cost. It is a dangerous place for a high risk sport Without the appropriate skilled coaching required, no exceptions. There are so many other options in the area!!! Safety and Professionalism comes 1st, our kids deserve it!

I know people only post the really good and really ugly so here's my good!…read more I actually played at BIS growing up and was an employee for years. Boulder indoor is committed to soccer. They have been in the business for what has to be close to 20 years now (I think it was established 2002). They have a fantastic facility (as it's not the same building as the review from like 2012 referred to). It is smaller that a mega warehouse but I enjoyed the size because I could see all the games and trainings from one location. What I thought was so funny were the reviews that listed all the issues. I feel like I could still fix these issues even though it's been years since I've been on that POS (pt of sale) system. Most of those are without a doubt front desk staff errors that occur when 50 families come in to get and pay for a player card for 18 hours straight. Not justifying, agreeing that there are minor kinks to work out but hoping you have some understanding that new employees are hired just so the kids can play, which is GRREAT and how it should be. The system (software not business) could be much easier to navigate and assign payments, refunds, and the like. But I know they solved every issue that came up while I was there with payments, double charges and the like! The kids I coached all loved playing there I had teams 5-18 years old enjoy it. Adult league is competitive, I agree with those who are worried about injuries as I have had my fair share and then some from individual challenges with certain players. I'll be honest my mistakes are forgetting my height and weight in coed when there are others 12-15" taller and in average at least 50+ pounds heavier than me and going into tackles like I'm their size. But I know it can be scary to think about an injury that might occur. The referees do get comfortable with their job. There needs to be a whole reset of the attitude of the players because when a ref does set the tone, 'everyone' complains (usually 75% of the regulars) about how they won't let them play. So it is an issue on both sides. I think they could really change the reffing and playing demeanor while coming back from the pandemic. I would say if you're comfortable having level headed conversations about what you felt unsafe with, the refs and owners do listen. I always talk to referees and try to do it calmly about some of the things I appreciated about their reffing and where I felt unsafe or if there was continuous unequal treatment of the teams. In general referees listen and will try to see what you saw, not when you leave a yelp review but actually advocate for the change! I've always seen the business work with complaints and try to change either how that situation was dealt with or how to change more dramatically. Overall this is a fantastic place run by soccer people who know business. Most other locations are not run by soccer people, and the knowledge of the game and feelings associated are shared by the owners and staff! Give it a chance, you might become a 18 year return player :)

The opposing team,…read moredespite being well ahead, played aggressively: shoving, yelling, and purposely fouling players. Several players weren't wearing shin guards, despite posted rules. A female player was hit hard in the head. She was visibly wobbly and holding her head, and although she said she was "OK," proper concussion protocol requires that any player with a head injury come out immediately. The game continued with no intervention, which was unsafe and unacceptable. I didn't have fun and regret spending my time here. I felt unsafe and unwelcome, and I will not be returning. Recreational sports should prioritize safety, enforce equipment rules, and ensure referees stop play when injuries occur.

A great diverse indoor sports center with a wide range of athletic activities for all ages. When I come to the tots playtime in the morning there are soccer games and crossfit happening and my son is fascinated by all the action. There are no showers but there are restrooms and some healthy vending machines and picnic benches. Ample parking in a huge outdoor parking lot. It can be hard to find the first time because there are no huge signs for its location. Turning on Aspen Ridge its immediately on the left, the first parking lot entrance. It looks like a warehouse.

All of the equipment seems brand new, and it's kept well. The only downfall to this place is parking! The lot isn't very big, and it fills up fast. I've actually ended up leaving after circling the parking lot for 30 minutes (no joke) and not finding a spot. They should definitely add more spaces.

Fitness center side has a good size cardio and weights area. They also have one large dance/class room and another smaller one. This facility is for ages 15+. They have a child care room but this place is basically for grown ups. Next door, the rec center has a large gym for basketball and a large pool area and all of that is for people of all ages. Now that I've clarified about the boundaries, the reason I go to the fitness center is because I'm a hooper. I work out via 'hula hoops'. Now, ideally, I would love to use one of the dance/class rooms that are often vacant during the day, but regular folks are not permitted to use those unless you are taking a class. The large cardio/weight room has mirrors, but not enough empty space for me to hoop. Upstairs, in the hallway (it's a really big hallway) outside the classrooms and the child care there is plenty of space for me to hoop. Also, (and I checked first) I can do this for free because technically, I'm not going into the workout facility and it's a community building. They would get five stars if I could use those awesome rooms, but I can't, so they don't. I know this review will not be relevant for many but it is what it is.
